NOV 1, 19 .. AND NOW .. WE HAVE .. ‘THE OTHER PROJECT’ .. OUTSIDE OF MY WINDOW
A very quick ‘aside’.
As many of you know, especially Gord to whom I am practically giving daily updates about my challenges, I am still on my ‘learning curve’ with my new Samsung A10 ‘smart phone’.
Oh NO! There is NOT / and there will NOT be, any turning back. I needed my Samsung A10 for several very specific reasons beginning with WhatsApp and to have it available as a Mobile Hotspot with Tethering.
Well guess what? We just now had an electrical power outage and I lost my Wi-Fi because my router shut down with no electricity.
And?
Out came Samsung A10 running to rescue me. I did as I have learned to do, and VOILA, Samsung A10 (via Android APA268) is providing me with Wi-Fi.
You, who know no better, are actually thinking, “Our Captain knows what he is doing.”
As many, if not all of you, know Patti and I talk many times each and almost every single day.
Several weeks ago, as the asphalt and concrete sidewalk paving projects were running their course, I told Patti that there was yet another significant project underway as well, but I did not tell her what it was.
The time has come to tell you all about..
‘THE OTHER PROJECT’ .. OUTSIDE OF MY WINDOW
Did the below photos, taken in July of 2015, cause this project to be undertaken?
“Dad! Don’t you like your reflecting pond Dad?”
To this day, when we get serious rain, we get these scenes.
One day I heard some ‘stirring’ outside of my window and I opened my window and looked down.
“Well Well, I think that I will go downstairs and check-this-out.”
“They sure are up-to-something.”
This my friends is a self-leveling level.
Ladies and Gentlemen water flows down hill. So it is vital that a storm drain lead the water where YOU want the water to flow. You need serious surveying skills to assure this occurs.
Progress is being made.
They are ‘after-it’.
Allow me to point out in the below photo, they worked into the night at the end of some days.
And?
And then, after a few weeks of work..
They were finished with a new storm drainage system. In the above photo, in the lower left corner, you can see what look like the sidewalk curbing pieces. Au contraire. These are curbing pieces for the parking lot area road.
This is just a small sample of all that is going on around me.

The workers are really concentrating on your neighborhood! That storm drain was one project that is going to make a BIG difference. I remember those lakes. Nice to finally see what the ‘other project’ was that you mentioned a couple of weeks ago! Smiles and hugs. Patti
I think that I will ‘wrap things up’ pretty soon with regard to The Projects Outside Of My Window. You’ll see why it was imperative for me to publish THIS post as in : Do it NOW. I could not wait one more minute. Smiles and love. Cap
Dang it…I just finished digging trenches around flower beds and walkways and then putting in landscaping timbers. And I didn’t think to take pictures! :-))
Too bad but you can’t possibly go back! Smiles Back To You! Thanks for your comment here. Cap and Patti
