DEC 26, 19 .. THINGS JUST KEEP ‘LOOKING-UP’
Things continue to keep looking-up for yours truly. I am working my way through the jet lag sleep and depression issues that it comes with.
Today’s Rhetorical Question:
“Is this a sad thought?”
Both Patti and I are feeling a sense-of-relief now that the major part of the Thanksgiving / Christmas Holiday Season is almost 100% complete.
Today Patti and I had a number one item on our To-Do-List : Drive across Anchorage and get new automobile drivers licenses at the Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
When we arrived at the Alaska DMV, they were closed in honor of the day after Christmas. Bah-Hum-Bug!!
Good news. Other places were open-for-business! Two of my major financial institutions were open and I successfully accomplished some necesssary business.
Walmart was open and I got a ‘flu’ shot in my left arm and a ‘pneumonia’ shot in my right arm as well as some other items we needed. Costco was open and Patti and I ate dinner (a Chicken Caesar Salad and giant Hot Dog with all you can drink soft drinks) amist a small number of Costco customers and then did some shopping and filled up our truck with gasoline. The Post Office was open. The cleaners were open so I could pay $24.70 to have a coat cleaned (I was shocked at this price). The newspaper’s business office was open so we got our copy of the Christmas Day newspaper which was not delivered to us.
Me getting both a ‘flu’ and ‘pneumonia’ shot means I am feeling much better.
Time to say over-and-out for today.
