MAY 5, 20 .. TIME TO BEGIN PLANNING OUR RETURN TO ALASKA

Today, while sitting in front of my Lenovo laptop computer here in Motel 6, Kingman, Arizona, I had a video / zoom-internet-appointment with a Mayo Clinic Doctor in Phoenix, to discuss some small issues that arose during my January 27, 2020, annual physical examination.

The BIG DEAL for me was that, with a pre-appointment conference at 9am this morning during which a Mayo Clinic staffer took-me-through the zoom process as it relates to Mayo, I was able to do-the-deal with my doctor.

The Mayo staffer also took-me-through-the-process of downloading the Mayo Clinic and the Zoom.us apps onto my Samsung Galaxy A10 smart phone!

I successfully signed into a Mayo (zoom online) Waiting Room at 3:28pm for my 3:40pm appointment. Then my doctor appeared on my laptop and we discussed several (very) minor medical issues of concern to me.

And?

That was that. 

For all of you computer-geeks and IT (Information Technology) experts, this would have been no-big–deal. Not so for me. I was delighted to have done-the-deal.

Now it’s time to plan our return North to Alaska.
