SEP 3, 20 .. A FRIEND .. MOVING .. TWO TEENAGERS

Patti and I have a friend who we met in Lompoc, Californa, for several weeks last (was it) March 6-30, 2020.

A single mother, she has a 15-year old daughter and a 13-year old son. Teenagers are old enough to have-minds-of-their-own (Captain : Have you any other significant understatements to dazzle us with here?) and hers were no exception.  Our friend decided to move North to Oregon to be closer to her aging father. 

Ah yes! Neither of her teenagers wanted to relocate from California to a rural part of Oregon. And they made their minds and feelings known, trying to get their mother to let them stay in Lompoc with their father. She would not budge (for good reasons we feel) on this point telling them they were going with her to Oregon and that-was-that.

So last week off the three of them headed North to rural Oregon and their new home and new school and new friends (you get the picture here). 

Patti and I were wondering how this was going to work out. So after they had arrived and spent a few nights in their new residence in rural Oregon Patti called her to ask how things were going.

When Patti received the below news she practically howled with joy (as did I).

Her friend said :

“Well things are going pretty well up here in Oregon. One problem has arisen however. I am unable to get the kids into our house because they just love being in the barn out back.” 

Part-of-the-deal to get the two teenagers to (more or less) gracefully move to Oregon was our friend promised that they could get a pet pig who would live out in the barn.

And?

All Is Well That Ends Well.
