MAR 17, 21 .. HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY

Speaking  for myself, IF my mother would have been my father my sirname would be Casey. Ah the Irish side of my family.

Today’s Rhetorical Question : Captain what are you waiting for?

Answer : I am waiting for life to get easy. THAT’S what I am waiting for.

Two (count them 2) days now with NO internet at our Motel.

So?

So Patti and I are sitting in the Main Lobby of the Mayo Clinic’s Main Hospital building using Mayo’s internet to throw this Post together.

Step back in time to yesterday..

Tuesday, March the 16th.

Yesterday’s Rhetorical Question : Captain what are you waiting for?

Answer : I am waiting for life to get easy. THAT’S what I am waiting for.

Yesterday our GMC Suburban spent all day in the Dealer’s shop getting some critical work accomplished. So we were without wheels. We are now also eight hundred dollars less in our bank account.

So? Our motel room was without electrical power for most of the day. No big deal BUT you get the idea.

Well we survived our one-day-off from our Mayo Clinic regimen.

Wednesday, March the 17th.  Again Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.

Out and off we went heading for the Mayo Clinic and four appointments. One for Patti and three for me.

Patti had her followup appointment with her Ear Nose Throat Doctor to get the results of Monday nights ct scan. It was a very fruitful and productive appointment lasting an hour and one half.

My turn. I had three appointments.

An ultra-sound examination of my body cavity from waist to neck. Kaylee was my ultra-sound professional. Her Mom was Kay. Her Dad was Lee. So they named her Kaylee. I had to completely fast (plain water only) for this procedure at 2:15pm so all I had for 16 hours (10pm last night until 2:15pm today) was water. This is not good for me but I had no choice.

Then I had a brief appointment to receive a medical speciman vial. I thought (Oh My) that it was a mere urine sample. Not the case. I had to be schooled in how to capture a bowel movement and then place part of said movement into a special vial with some special dark green liquid inside. Emphasis on dating and putting down the time of capture of the specimen. I was about to burst with liquid (since I was expecting a mere urine sample). God and only God and my body enabled me to do this activity. Arrrrgggggh !!

Then off to get a series of x-rays of my right shoulder for tomorrow’s appointment with my Orthopedic Shoulder Doctor.

Now we are going to have some Saint Patrick’s Day fun.

Fountain Hills is a (let me assure you) very ritzy village on the Eastern side of Phoenix. Fountain hills is famous for its fountain. Below is a link to a Wikepedia write up about Fountain Hills and its fountain.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fountain_Hills,_Arizona

Each Saint Patrick’s Day the fountain is transformed from its normal water (that you see in the first photo below)..

To honor the Irish by turning the fountain GREEN. Only two times on Saint Patrick’s Day does the green fountain appear. At 12noon and at 5pm.

Normally the fountain runs once an hour (at the top of the hour) for fifteen minutes. Today on Saint Patrick’s Day the fountain ran for a full 45 minutes.

Patti are you hungry for some Singapore Rice Noodles?”

Today (since her esophagus procedure last Friday morning) is the first day Patti can eat foods other than yogurt, apple sauce, bananas etc so we splurged.

We have been coming to George & Son’s Asian Cuisine for over four years now.

We were very happy to see they are taking the current Covid-19 situation seriously.

Summer / Winter / Spring / and Autumn we can eat Singapore Rice Noodles.

And ??

” That’s all folks. ” sayeth Bugs Bunny.
