AUG 26, 21 .. A MEDICAL CONDITION REPORT ON PATTI
Back in October of 2012, Patti was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was discovered extremely early in its development and was immediately removed. I mentioned this in a Post dated NOV 20, 12. Below is a link to that Post.
On this recent August 10th, Patti received her usual annual Mammogram. After reviewing Patti’s Mammorgram, the medical staff had suspicions about one area of the Mammogram and asked Patti to return on August the 17th for an Intensive Mammorgram along with a Sonogram. After reviewing the findings of the August 17th examinations, the medical staff asked Patti to return last Friday August the 20th to undergo a Biopsy (an examination of tissue removed from a living body to discover the presence, cause, or extent of a disease) of the suspect area in Patti’s breast.
This past Tuesday the 23rd Patti was advised that the results of the Biopsy show that Patti has a Stage 1 malignant cancer in a small area. Late in the afternoon Tuesday Patti was contacted by her primary care Doctor who gave Patti a recommendation to a Surgeon who specializes in breast cancer. Within minutes the doctor’s staff contacted us. Yesterday the 24th we visited her office to complete new-patient-paperwork.
Next Tuesday the 31st, Patti and I have an early morning appointment to meet in person with her surgeon to discuss Patti’s options.
On Patti’s behalf, I ask that you please give Patti some space and breathing room as she does not want to get into long medical discussions about this at this time. We promise to keep you posted as we learn more.
