FEB 18, 22 .. A SHORT ROAD TRIP .. PHOENIX, AZ TO TUCSON, AZ AND RETURN

I write in the above title that we took a short (120 mile) road trip from Phoenix, Arizona, South down to Tucson, Arizona. This is generally correct. IF you want me to be totally accurate, we visited family in Marana, Arizona, about 20 or 25 minutes North of Tucson and not actually into Tucson proper.

Wednesday the 16th of February.

We had a great run down from Phoenix. We pulled out of our Motel 6 in Phoenix about 1pm and were into Marana at 2:45pm (give or take a few minutes either way). Traffic was light (for Phoenix) running at-the-limit (read 85 miles per hour). We settled in with Larry, Ray and Buddy, and relaxed and visited late into the evening enjoying dinner at home.

Thursday the 17th of February.

A very easy and relaxed day. I puttered with some projects, Patti slept in (read she was up around 1pm), and for dinner, we enjoyed a take-away meal of Singapore Rice Noodles at a favorite local Chinese restaurant we have eaten at before.  Again, a lot of just hanging out and visiting.

Friday (today) the 18th of February.

I am currently up at 5am writing this Post. We plan to relax this morning and then ease our way out this early afternoon and head back North to our Motel 6 on the North side of Phoenix realizing we well may encounter some intense, Friday afternoon in Phoenix traffic (read bumper to bumper, stop and go, traffic).

Our weather has been over-the-top fantastic. Right now it is 34°F with the daily afternoon temperatures in the mid 50’s.

Smiling.. Cap and Patti

The rest of the story. I failed to bring the short, computer cable that connects my Nikon Coolpix camera with my Lenovo laptop so I am unable to show and to Post some of the (say 20 or so ) photos I snapped of Larry and Ray’s amazing home here in Marana. I  hope to publish the photos in a blogspot Post this weekend. I snapped the above photos with my Samsung Galaxy A10e smart phone. Now, back into bed!!

As far as I can see my Lenovo does not have an SD slot. But that does not mean it in fact does not, I just can’t seem to see an opening that would accept the memory chip from my Coolpix. Thanks for the suggestion Gullible. Cap
