AH YES.. now what.. I ask questioningly.. IS GOD’S WILL.. that is always a ‘toughie’.. THAT is the so called Sixty Four Thousand Dollar Question..
God’s Will For Me.. Is For Me to Do.. What Is In Front of Me to Do.. WITH DISCERNMENT..
That Jesuit Term Discernment is so critical ..
OK.. throughout the writings to date I have talked about God’s messages to me.. starting with FWIW 1.. back on Monday.. August 8th.. as I was coming out of the men’s room in my Chevrolet Dealer in Royal Oak, Michigan.. God said (well I felt he said) “Go NOW To India” .. and the rest of that is now history.. here I am..
OF COURSE there was one HUGE event that happened.. Patti’s friend Jim was ‘called home’.. and Patti being Jim’s executor of his estate HAD TO CANCEL her ticketed trip to join me in Royal Oak on August 18th in time for the Detroit, Michigan, automotive DREAM CRUISE..
I mean Patti HAD HER PAID-FOR AIRLINE TICKET.. her trip down from Alaska was a DONE DEAL.. we both wanted Patti to come down and see the DREAM CRUISE and perhaps travel New England in the Autumn OR have Patti under go surgery for spinal and for hip problems..
DID GOD TAKE JIM so I could hear HIS message to come to India and NOW..
I will quietly opt out of THAT DISCUSSION.. I don’t want to ‘weird out’ here..
FOR ONE THING.. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN PRE-DESTINATION.. I DO NOT BELIEVE GOD IS PULLING STRINGS ON A BUNCH OF HUMAN PUPPETS.. READ DUTERONMY THE FIFTH BOOK OF MOSES.. THE GIFT OF CHOICE IS GOD’S GREAT GIFT TO US..
But I can chronicle a lot of years of God involvement in my life.. MAYBE BECAUSE I ASK GOD INTO MY LIFE IN PRAYER.. you know.. “God.. I invite you into my day TODAY”..
TO THE NOW..
A writing ago.. because of the relatively high cost of my hotel room.. I have been thinking of moving.. in FWIW 15 I mentioned the concept of me moving from the Circular Hotel into a more reasonable room..
When I began to think of this.. Kitty’s son Alfred here promptly said “Cap I know of several hotels with Air Conditioning that will cost you one-half of what you are paying at the Circular”.. so did God put Albert into my face to assist me? I haven’t a clue.. again.. let’s not ‘weird’ out here..
I DID check out one of Alfred’s recommendations.. the Galaxie.. and yes.. it is a lot less than half the cost of the Circular.. BUT.. with no windows.. so I opted out on the Galaxie..
But I HAVE PUT OUT TO THE UNIVERSE the idea of moving..
TODAY HERE COMES THE SUNFLOWER GUEST HOUSE. on Roid Road.. like Roid in Steroids.. I can have a penthouse room on the top floor (the 5th floor) amidst all sorts of greenery on the roof.. with a nice view from windows that open.. and at a cost of RS 1,000 WITH AIR CONDITIONING.. the Circular is costing RS 2,500 (there are 44 Rubees in one U.S. Dollar).. so I would be paying RS 1,500 less PER DAY..
Roid Road (to be staying on Roid Road would be a kick) and the Sunflower are in the Park Street Area of Calcutta.. one of the best shopping areas in the city.. AN AREA I KNOW VERY WELL.. the Sunflower is half a block from the Vodafone Office which is my cell phone carrier..
AS IF GOD is saying.. OK Captain.. you didn’t like the Galaxie try the Sunflower”.. BUT GET OUT OF THE CIRCULAR HOTEL..
OR IS HE.. I DUNNO.. is the Circular about to fall down? you want ‘weird’.. you got ‘weird’.. does God want to get me AWAY FROM THE FIVE STREET INTERSECTION FROM HELL..
I have NOT told you that last night.. in this intersection from HELL.. as I was leaving the internet cafe here.. I was hit straight on and I was hit dead on by a motorcycle.. looking everywhere but straight ahead here he came.. when I looked up he was two feet away and braking and I grabbed onto his handlebars with both of my rawhide-gloved-hands and we looked each other eye-to-eye.. we BOTH smiled and I let him go and did NOT make an ass of myself assaulting him as I have been fantasizing doing to these kids on the motorcycles..
So I sit confused.. will I won’t I move.. IF I move will I opt for the Sunflower or will I opt for my beloved YMCA on Chowringhee Road where I visited the other night.. they have an Air Conditioned Room for RS 1,200..
SOMETHING IS PULLING ME AWAY FROM THE CIRCULAR HOTEL.. I THINK.. Park Street .. Sudder Street and Chowringhee..
