FEB 27, 22 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

I was up well before 7am this morning so that I could be AT our local Costco store AT 7am when the gasoline station opens to save myself the frustration of having to wait (impatiently) in the VERY long lines that immediately form at 10am when the store opens for business. And ?? I drove straight to a gasoline pump, filled up Black Beauty, our GMC Suburban, and was back here to our Motel 6 by 7:10am. The pumps were actually open before the official opening time of 7am. It is just under 2 miles from our motel and all went very well.

These medical appointments and their repercussions take over one’s life !!

At 10:20am I have an appointment at the Mayo Clinic to be tested for Covid-19 in preparation for my colonoscopy Tuesday mid-morning. All day yesterday, today and tomorrow I am on a pre-colonoscopy diet (a very limited, low fiber, semi liquid diet).

For all you don’t want to read about ..

Preparing for your colonoscopy
Three days before your colonoscopy, eat only low-fiber foods.
Two days before, continue eating only low-fiber foods.
One day before, go on a clear-liquid diet.
The evening before, drink three quarters (12, 8oz cups, 10 to 15 minutes apart) of the prescription laxative drink to clean out your colon for the procedure. The morning of your colonoscopy, before 8:30am drink the remaining (4, 8oz cups, 10 to 15 minutes apart) laxative drink.

A covid-19 test is absolutely required by the Mayo Clinic to be performed two days before my colonsocopy procedure.

Now to the actual site of the Covid-19 testing center.

After my Covid-19 test I’ll return to our motel. I am going alone this morning because Patti has been here and done this many, MANY, times and she likes to sleep-in when she is able to do so.

This afternoon we will meet Jim and Gianna at 2:30pm for an hour or so. Then we will visit Loran and Gard at 4pm.

Then we will go to perhaps our absolutely favorite (here in Phoenix) AA meeting at 5:30pm.

And that will be that for a full Sunday, February the 27th, 2022.

Still Standing, Still Smiling ..

Cap and Patti
