APR 6, 23 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

Here is yet another Post that, once I began to put it together, suddenly “It ran away” with me chasing it as fast as I could.

Translation : I got really interested in the history of IN-N-OUT Burgers. Theirs is a history of “firsts” in the fast food industry. Begun in 1948, they are 100% pure Californians. They have Hot Rodders and Drag Strips devotees “in their blood”.

Researching the background of IN-N-OUT, made me proud to have lived in California for some three decades! My United States Marine Corps roots were in California. As are my United States CB (aka Sea Bees) roots. “California Dreaming” .. And, of course, so too are Patti’s deepest roots in California. From age 10 months, through her school years and into her early adulthood (22+ years old), Patti was a “California Girl”.

Patti does not eat “red meat”. I eat “some” red meat BUT when I get a “hunger for red meat” I go for hamburgers, not steaks. Back in January of 2017, while visiting Jim and Claudia in California, I discovered the “IN-N-OUT” restaurant chain.

IN-N-OUT (also goes as In-N-Out) dates back to 1948 in Baldwin Park, California. In 1992, Store Number 80, the first one out of California, opened up in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 1998 In-N-Out reached the half-century mark with 134 restaurants and 5,498 Associates. On May 3, 2000, In-N-Out opened up its first store in Arizona, Store 143 located here in Lake Havasu City. In 2013 In-N-Out Burger celebrated its 65th anniversary with 286 restaurants in five states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Texas. Oregon and Colorado now have In-N-Out restaurants.

Just in case you would like to see where I got the above information you can peruse the below link..

Here is what our local “IN-N-OUT” looks like here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

The restaurants that I have visited are immaculate.

Two for $7.50.

Thanks Jim and Claudia for our visit back in January 2017 where we discovered In-N-Out.

And? I was so tired when I began this Post that, for a second or two, I considered breaking my “streak” of Posts and going to bed. Of course I have done this before and just published a Post on the day of its date. Ordinarily I write them the evening before their date so you who are interested have a Post to check out first thing in the morning.

But following the Nike Slogan : I Just Did It !!

Cap and Patti
