JUN 25, 23 .. OUR SANDHILL CRANES?

Last June the 13th, in a Post here on dotnet, we alerted you all to a visit on the front lawn of our Condo by a pair of Sandhill Cranes.

On June the 16th, we published two Posts on blogspot about their first and second visits.

Because we had not seen one glimpse of them since the above sightings, the other day we visited our local Hillstrand Pond on “the hunch” that maybe, just maybe, they have settled down up there in that beautiful pond with a lot of water and fish.

“No Sandhill Cranes here Dad!” /s/ Hillstrand Pond

“Ducks Dad? Yes, I have many Ducks Dad!”/s/ Hillstrand Pond

A first time ever for Patti and me. “Canada Geese Dad? Yes I do have one pair of nesting Canada Geese Dad!”/s/Hillstrand Pond

“But once again, NO Sandhill Cranes Dad!             /s/ Hillstrand Pond

And so the time has come to close, at least for now, our Sandhill Crane adventure.

Who knows if we will ever see Sandhill Cranes in our neighborhood again! Does The Shadow Know?

Hmmm….oh, where….oh, where have the sandhill cranes gone? Perhaps their magnetic compass are now pointing towards Mexico? Following the monarch butterfly migration? Another 6mo’s and perhaps they will once again rest on your greens. Best to enjoy the Canadian geese until their little ones fluff up, sprout their wings and flying feathers and take to the skies. Ah, yes! The beautiful mystery of Mother Nature! Enjoy my dear friends. Thanks for sharing the majesty of your hemisphere!
    Peace Out,

Wow Michael! Double Wow Michael! Another in a never ending series of outstanding comments from you! Yes! The absolute majesty of Mother Nature leaves us in awe. We’ve never seen nesting Canadian Geese at Hillstrand Pond Michael in the decades we’ve been going there. Smiles Cap and Patti
