SEP 12, 23 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH ..

Well, For What It’s Worth, I’m going to begin with some casual Chit Chat.

As I begin this Post, it is Monday Evening, September the 11th, 2023.

It is 9 / 11 Day or, Evening actually.

Today, Patti and I visited several times with our friend Eddie down in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. As I said in yesterday’s 9 / 11 Post, Eddie, who we just met last December of 2022 when we moved into our apartment in Lake Havasu City, is the only human being that we know who was at, or very close to, “Ground Zero” on September 11, 2011. Our several telephone visits came with some real emotion on the part of all three of us.

This afternoon / evening, along with Greg and Kathleen via smart phone calls and texts, we watched one of the most entertaining and enjoyable NFL Football games that we have ever watched. It was on Monday Night Football and it was a MUCH ANTICIPATED GAME because NFL Super Star, Aaron Rodgers, after 18 years (2005 – 2022) with the Green Bay Packers, joined the New York Jets for the 2023 season.

SHOCKINGLY!! On his fourth play of the game, he was injured and had to leave the game. As I type these words, it is feared he has a torn Achilles. If an MRI today (Tuesday the 12th) shows this to be true, he will be lost to the NY Jets for the entire 2023 Season!

I won’t go into detail about the rest of the game except to say the NY Jets, in spite of losing Aaron Rodgers for the game, won the game, in overtime, when a punt by the Buffalo Bills was run back 55 yards for a touchdown the first time the Jets touched the football in overtime!
