DEC 10, 23 .. YESTERDAY’S LAKE HAVASU HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE OF LIGHTS..

Yesterday we published a Post about the Lake Havasu Holiday Boat Parade of Lights. If you haven’t read yesterday’s Post and wish to do so, below is a link to it.

In this Post we cited possible weather problems (high winds).

The winds were indeed “High” (19 mph) BUT the Lake Havasu Holiday Boat Parade of Lights went on.

Patti and I, after driving around the site of the boat parade yesterday afternoon, decided that we would not pursue attending it. We had five opportunities to park our truck but didn’t want to “sit idly on our hands” for four hours waiting for the parade to begin, wondering all the while if it was even going to occur. And at 56°F with the temperature falling and a wind chill from 19 mph winds, it would have been uncomfortable to just be “standing around” a crowd of people.

We drove around the site just after 8pm (the hours were 6pm to 9pm) and all activity was finished. We heard 33 boats participated out of 70 who had entered.

Below is a nice photo I got online of yesterday’s boat parade..

Bottom Line.

The parade went on as scheduled. There were far fewer boats than were anticipated. Patti and I are pleased we did not attend the parade and instead attended a 7pm Speaker Meeting.

We are going to watch one game today. Sunday Night Football. The Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) travel to Dallas to play The Cowboys (9-3)! It should be an interesting game. The outcome will greatly affect the post season playoff standings and who gets a first round “Bye”.
