Thumb Nail Sketch. Today, Patti and I drove from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, up to Bullhead City, Arizona, and Laughlin, Nevada, and back home.
We visited Ginny and Tom in Laughlin. Ginny snapped the below photo of Patti and me.

After we left Ginny and Tom, we purchased two hundred eighty dollars worth of groceries at Sam’s Club.
OK! This IS a program of honesty! We actually purchased $279.41 in groceries.
Kroger Gasoline Plan.
After leaving Sam’s Club, we headed South on Arizona Highway 95 and purchased gasoline at Smith’s (Kroger) in Fort Mohave, Arizona.
YOU “Do The Math”!
$54.22 ÷ 35 Gallons = 1.549 $ per gallon.
One Dollar Fifty Four and 9/10 cents per gallon! What may we ask is the price of gasoline where you live?
With my Kroger fuel points we paid $1.55 below the full retail price.
More math. Saving $1.55 on 35 gallons is a grand total savings of Fifty Four Dollars and Twenty Five Cents ($54.25).

Needles, California
Going to and returning from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, up to Bullhead City and Laughlin, you pass through Needles.
On historic Route 66.

Then, after going through Needles, at the juncture of Interstate 40 East and Arizona Highway 95, Patti and I stopped for a Frosty at Wendy’s.
Then, up the road, we two shared a Froster at Circle K.
After a stop at our local Walmart to do some more shopping, we got home and unloaded (A JOB) our groceries. Then we attended our Friday evening Couples Meeting here in Lake Havasu City.

Saturday, December 30th, 2023 (aka Today)
This evening, “Our” Detroit Lions are playing, on the road in Dallas, The Cowboys.
I go to bed NOW or I just drop here at our laptop.

Almost Happy New Year Cap and Patti!
You asked? Gas for regular here in the Black Hills ranges 2.99 to 3.10/gal for regular. Luckily, unlike most around here who need and drive huge trucks and suvs, i drive a Subaru. She averages 28 to 30 mpg amd gets me everywhere I need to be.
Snow is melting as it is in the 40s. We’ll see when we get our next dump, but it has been beautiful to look out the window while i get over the flu or whatever it is. Considering I’ve been vaxed for nearly everything, who knows? Feeling better now than a few days ago. For that i am grateful.

Thanks Kit for your reply and for your ongoing support. No doubt about it Kit. There IS a lot of “flu like stuff” going around. Covid still lurks. RSV is active. And some variants thereof. Friends say they have a Heavy Cold but do nothing about it including NOT staying home and away from others. Now IF you don’t have to be admitted to the hospital that is “as good as it is going to get”. We speak from actual experience ourselves. We too have been vaxed for nearly everything. Cap and Patti
