GIRL SCOUT COOKIES

Patti has donated money to the Girl Scouts for years. Here’s how it “Plays”. During the traditional month of February, the Girl Scouts have cookie booths at various locations. Patti gives the Girl Scouts $20. The Girl Scouts ask Patti what cookie flavors she would like. Patti always, traditionally replies, “Oh you just keep the money, I don’t really want the cookies”.

This year Patti donated her annual $20 BUT Patti decided to actually get four boxes of the cookies. Patti had a plan. She decided to take the Girl Scout Cookies to various “ladies meetings” and share them.

A week or so ago, out and off Patti went to a ladies meeting with her Girl Scout Cookies. 

When she came home I asked her how it went. She said that she’d forgotten to take the cookies into the meeting!!

And I, Your Captain, asked Patti to show me the cookies.

VOILA !!

There will NOT be any Girl Scout Cookies going to any ladies meetings hence forth!!

Each evening, since the above “Dawning of Cap and the Cookies”, Patti and I have been eating (only) two of the cookies. One Thin Mint and One Adventureful cookie.

Tee Hee Hee Hee !!

The Golden Phoenix

Patti, Michael and I recently enjoyed dinner together at The Golden Phoenix to celebrate a special day that Michael was celebrating.

HAVASU LANDING CASINO

Yesterday, Monday the 5th of February, Eddie my neighbor and I did our “Monday Get Away” and rode the Lake Havasu Ferry over to the Havasu Landing Casino.

Rocky Balboa and Wonder Woman are our side-by-side slot machines.

For some reason, after we got off the ferry boat, Eddie did not come with me straight to “our” slot machines.

So I played my standard $20 limit. I bet 50 cents 40 times to total $20.

Not a good day BUT Not a terrible day. 

I played $20 and came home with $8.05 while I was waiting for Eddie to join me. So a fun and pleasant several hours cost me $11.95.

Finally Eddie joined me. Eddie played two ( $1 from two 50 cent spins) games (he had just gotten seated mind you) and ..

BAM

Eddie won $26.45 !!

Eddie played two spins and VOILA $26.45 !

Do you all know what? I got one gigantic overwhelming good feeling just watching Eddie’s Rocky Balboa erupt. Keep in mind, hitting a win like this takes most slot machines about ten minutes of noise and whistles and colorful scenes on the face of a slot machine.
