OCT 5, 13 .. PATTI IS GOING AHEAD WITH GALLBLADDER SURGERY ..

Over on my other web site .. bobba caps doxology .. I have discussed and I have posted a number of photographs regarding the ‘Termination Dust’ here in Alaska.  ‘Termination Dust’ is the first ‘dusting of snow’ on the mountain tops and signifies the ‘Termination of Summer’.

As the Autumn Season progresses .. slowly and relentlessly .. the initial ‘Termination Dust’ is joined by ever more snow and that snow then works its way down the mountains until it reaches ground level.

Below are three photographs showing the very initial phase of ‘Termination Dust’.  At the end of this post is a photo showing .. in the far distance .. the progression of the snow at higher altitudes.

OK ! Patti has elected to have her Gallbladder removed.

Let me begin with this important statement : Patti feels absolutely 100% fine !  She is in no pain whatsoever and neither of us feel that she MUST schedule the surgery immediately A.S.A.P.  This is important to keep-in-mind as you continue below.

AFTER .. OH TRUST ME ON THIS ! .. MUCH discussion and considerable hand-wringing between Patti and myself and with Patti’s primary-care-doctor and MUCH searching on the Internet as we two have explored MANY ‘medically oriented web sites’ .. Patti has decided to have her Gallbladder removed.

Patti’s primary-care-doctor does NOT feel that the ‘attack’ Patti experienced on September 19th was due to her Gallbladder.  His measured opinion remains FIRM that Patti suffered an attack of Acute Gastritis because emergency room blood examinations and other testing showed Patti’s liver functions to be normal.

However her primary-care-doctor FULLY SUPPORTS Patti’s decision to proceed with the surgery.

Our extensive Internet exploration revealed that .. with only one exception .. NO WEB SITE described the symptoms of Acute Gastritis as matching the symptoms that Patti experienced during her attack on September 19th.  ONE symptom of Acute Gastritis is a ‘full feeling’ in one’s upper stomach area.  This is the ONE AND ONLY symptom of Acute Gastritis that Patti did indeed feel.

Among other Acute Gastritis symptoms that Patti did not experience were ..

She had absolutely NO blood in her vomitus.  She experienced horrific crippling pain (a symptom not mentioned under Acute Gastritis) so bad that she could not get dressed to go to the Emergency Room and opted for me to wrap-her-in-a-blanket and go !

Lastly this : There are two groups of people we talked with .. (1) Those who had their Gallbladders removed and (2) those who have loved family members and friends who had their Gallbladders removed.

NO ONE SINGLE PERSON IN THE ABOVE TWO GROUPS had one negative comment on the procedure!  Each and everyone said .. “Do it !”

So the next step is to schedule the surgery.

IF you care to refer to my Travel Itinerary .. I have set forth my immediate plans to travel to my home in Manley Hot Springs so that I can get my truck (which has sat idle since last November 6th, 2012) running and return to Anchorage to support Patti with her surgery.

It now looks like the surgery will be during the week of October 14th.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FOR YOUR INTEREST ..

MUCH LOVE .. Cap and Patti ..

And below you can see in the far-distance .. the snow is moving down and accumulating at the mountain tops !
