DEC 23, 24.. THE COUGHING SPREAD.. CAP IS IN THE E.R. NOW..

10pm, Sunday, December the 22nd, 2024.

Patti here, I am now about to make an attempt to do a post for Cap. It is a bit after 10 pm on Sunday, Dec. 22nd.

About two hours ago, Cap left to drop some Christmas cards into the mail at our local post office and “get that done” he said.

The next thing that I heard from him was that he was at the hospital and checking into the E.R.

He was going to ask a friend of ours to bring me down to be there with him, but the admission staffer he was working with said, “NO, NO, NO” because of my RSV Pneumonia diagnosis, they said I was not to come to the ER.  Subsequently, Cap realized the phone he had with him was very low on power and he did not have a charging cord with him, so … our messages back and forth have been VERY brief and the phone is fading fast.

His cough has gotten worse over the past few days and has had us both concerned.  So far the ER has done blood work, a chest x-ray, and what Cap calls a battery of tests.  They have also been checking his blood pressure on a regular basis and it is all over the place on the high side, not alarming yet, but high for Cap.  His phone was down to 3% a few minutes ago, so that may be all the reports I will get until, hopefully, he is able to come home.

My cough persists, not as deep it seems, but literally leaves me gasping for breath at times.

Thanks each and everyone of you for your prayers and support.  You help keep us going!!

Love and hugs, Patti and Cap

P.S.  Pay attention!!!  Cap has the same wonderful doctor I had last Monday.  She is amazing in every way.  SHE brought Cap her own phone charging cord and now Cap and I are in touch freely once again on the phone!!!

P.S.S.  At 11:15 pm Arizona time, Cap is still in the ER undergoing more testing.

I had a whole message typed out and somehow when I hit the post button it all deleted but the word maybe. I hope that the ER can work a miracle for Cap. What a blessing that they were able to find a charging cord for him. Thank you for the update. Prayers for both of you.

Oh, dear Patti! Cap did call me and text me earlier asking the favor to bring you down to the ER. I was somewhat confused but Cap called immediately back with the msg that the nursing staff did not want you to come in considering your current struggles with RSV. Only then did I realize Cap had been admitted to ER. He’s sounding quite sick with the virus, too and we are all alarmed and praying for hospital doctors and nursing staff get the diagnosis nailed down and he’s administered the correct Rx to get this virulent viral attack under control. As I read this blog I was ready to drive over to the hospital with a phone charger….until you reported his Doctor brought one in to use. Thank God Cap can at least reach out to us for support and help. I feel these long hours being diagnosed in the ER are straining and exacerbating your health even further but then again Cap is in good care. If he is admitted to the care of hospitalization please update me and I will be here to help with both of your every need. Please update me with a text or phone call asap if there is any change. Any time of day or night please keep me updated and how I may be of help.
Sending both you and Cap Endless Peace, Light, Love and Prayers.
Thank God you have gained all the geek computer skills to keep us informed and readily available. You are an amazing woman and Cap an amazing man. Two peas in a pod. Soul mates forever. Love, Michael and Little Bit
