JAN 27, 25 ( 2 / 2 ).. MIKE OUR GUEST CONTRIBUTOR.. CHOCOLATE CAKE..

When one does a Post, you would assume that one would know what they (he or she) were talking about but NO ! I haven’t a clue in a carload about this Rodeo except for the below photos of our local, Sunday, newspaper dated January the 26th, 2025 and the below link and the below photos sent to us by a great friend.

In the first photo of Sunday’s paper below, the Rodeo photos are the ones below the lead article.

A closer look below at the above photos.

Little Delbert Days Rodeo.

Here’s the deal. Mike, one of our closest friends, who attended the rodeo with his daughter, sent us the below happy photos.

So how on this good earth could we NOT publish these happy photos? Not knowing what I am talking about here except Patti and I like happiness!

Thanks so very much Mike.

Chocolate Lovers Everywhere! How could we NOT share this NATIONAL TODAY / NATIONAL DAY CALENDAR Holiday.. The sources of most, but not 100%, of the information on our various “Days” such as this “Holiday”.

Dear Chocolate Cake,

It was love at first bite. You may come in many forms: layered, molten, bundt, fluffy, mousse-y, decadent, frosted… …but we love you all the same. You’re the reason we know what happiness tastes like. Your special day may only come once a year on January 27th, but you’re also the reason we know how to REALLY celebrate a birthday or a sweet valentine. We would make ourselves sick over you. We would steal the last piece for you. We’d even lick the bowl for you. But no matter what, we’ll keep coming back for you.

Thank you always for your chocolatey, decadent goodness.

Sincerely, All the Chocolate Cake Lovers of the World

We can all reflect on past birthday celebrations and reminisce about an epic cake being present. Cake and chocolate are ingrained into American culture as natural symbols of love and celebration. No matter how you slice it, a chocolate cake might be the most memorable guest of the party.

Cake evolved from early leavened breads, which were sweetened with natural ingredients like honey, fruit, and nuts and then expanded to include ingredients like vanilla and chocolate. Its simple combination of ingredients, most notably chocolate, work harmoniously to trigger our brain’s natural production of opiates, which help alleviate pain and increase our positive feeling of well-being. It’s clearly the perfect combination of both simple and sweet.

Chocolate triggers the release of serotonin and endorphins, which are neurotransmitters for happiness and pleasure. It also contains phenylethylamine, which elevates our mood when we feel  happiness or love. Who knew getting emotional over chocolate was so natural?

Well, howdy rodeo fans! We’re smack in the middle of the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo in Rapid City, South Dakota! Tim and I won’t make it to too many events this year due to the hour drive each way. However, we will work at the Special Rodeo again next Saturday afternoon and spend the rest of the day poking around since our admission will be taken care of. We’ll work with the mini horses again since we can take a half dozen minis in the stock trailer. It’s more work to take the full size horses. We do events at the barn with them. We’ve lots of horse and donkey friends in AZ, so glad to see Havasu exposing the public to these fun events.
Chocolate anyone? Oh my! Love chocolate, but not really a fan of cake. The exception being lava or tuxedo cake.
Well, thanks for another wonderful post. I’ll send you some pictures next weekend!

Yes we sure remember you and Tim, how to say this, are Rodeo Fans Kit. Send us some rodeo photos and we’ll post them. Yes in the inclement weather an hour drive each way is a deterrent to travel and that’s for sure. Happy you enjoyed the Post Kit. Cap and Patti

Gullible we never ever know when you are serious or spoofing us. So I googled it. Here’s what came up.. There are 13 essential vitamins — vitamins A, C, D, E, K, and the B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, B6, B12, and folate). Lots of smiles .. Cap and Patti ..
