APR 3, 25.. SLIM PICKINGS TODAY SPORTS FANS!!
A LITTLE BIT OF THIS.. A LITTLE BIT OF THAT..
OR IS It.. NOT MUCH OF THIS.. NOT MUCH OF THAT..
I’m so sorry little Post. After all, this is your one and only time in the “Lime Light” of Babakaps.net..
Nothing at all of interest, to me at least, to publish from either National Today or National Day Calendar .. Not even a “Ridiculous Holiday” such as yesterday’s..
NATIONAL RIDE YOUR HORSE TO A BAR DAY..

Kit, Patti and I loved your comment on yesterday’s Post.
Too funny NOT tacking up Chuntay and riding him to the local Bar! Love it Kit. That National Today article was a great giggle. Kit from South Dakota

Way, WAY back, we go to Thursday, December the 12, 2024. Danny 48073 was visiting Patti and me out here in Lake Havasu City, and on December the 12th, we made a trip over to Oatman, Arizona, then to Laughlin, Nevada, and finally a stop at Sam’s Club in Bullhead City, Arizona, strictly to purchase some of Sam’s Club Peanut Brittle.
What a hoot. I was busy at Sam’s Club Customer Service Desk and Danny asked me IF he could help.
I said, “Yes Danny, go get some Sam’s Club Peanut Brittle.”
Danny asked, “How much Cap.”
I said, “Get a lot Danny.”
Danny 48073 is somewhat of a “Literal Man”. To Danny a lot means A LOT.
Out and off went Danny who came back (I kid you not) with a Sam’s Club sized Shopping Cart full of Peanut Brittle. I wish I’d photographed it Danny.
We re-shelved all but eight of them.

Four of them went to Michael 86403 and Patti and I kept four for us.
Yesterday, Wednesday the 2nd of April, Patti and I had one, unopened cannister, left.
I called Michael and offered him half of the cannister and he politely declined.
I MUST say this. Here on April the 2nd, four or so months later, Patti and I had one of our four cannisters left. Michael on the other hand finished his four cannisters in (possibly) two weeks!
Our unopened cannister.

Now opened. We had wanted Michael to be with us when we opened the unopened canister but he opted out on any more Peanut Brittle.

Patti and I took just five pieces between us (Cap 3 and Patti 2).

Yes. Patti and I broke into smaller pieces the large piece on the top!
Smiles Michael. Smiles Danny. Cap and Patti.

The discount I received for Gasoline at Smith’s (Kroger) Market:
Not a bad per gallon price huh? A Dollar Eighty Three plus.

Do the math.

$34.55 divided by 18.789 gallons equal $1.8388 per gallon.

Wednesday Evening, April the 2nd.
Yes Little Post, you and I did pretty well and you seem to have ended up very well.
Now to read Dalton Ross’s Survivor Recap of this evening.
- APR 2, 25 ( 1 / 2 ).. HOO-RAY.. GULLIBLE IS BACK..
- APR 4, 25.. GULLIBLE.. COMMENTS TO POSTS HERE ON DOTNET.. RATS..
I don’t know if you go back to read comments so I will cover a couple of days here. I enjoyed the piece on Sewards Day and Vietnam Veterans Day.
Your April Fool’s Day post brought back a fond memory of a prank my crew pulled on me many years ago. I supervised several men, all older than me and initially they weren’t too happy about having a younger female supervisor. They gave me a rough time for a bit but came around (we still get together for lunch occasionally.) It’s too detailed to go into here but it involved my entire crew, upper management in my office and the IT department and went on for hours before one of my crew clued me in. I don’t think I have ever laughed so long or so hard. It was epic and masterful. I love those guys!
The peanut brittle looks delicious. I am pretty sure the only time I ever ate it was around Christmas time as it was one of the treats my mother made. I initially thought 4 tubs was a lot but after doing some some math, it appears to only be about a half tub per person per month so only a small amount each week. I do love that Michael polished his off in record time. My teeth hurt thinking about it. It also inspired me to dig into the chocolate covered peanuts (no brittle here.)
I also learned a lesson while processing this response (I was interrupted by my cats who demanded dinner): don’t give your cat a small piece of sweet potato as she will drop it on the floor; you will forget about it, step on it, smear it around and then have to clean the sole of your slipper and a large floor area. Never again will I give in to those sweet little faces (never might stretch out to several hours.)
Hi Kathleen. Your very long and interesting comment began with these words: I don’t know if you go back to read comments so I will cover a couple of days here. I enjoyed the piece on Seward’s Day and Vietnam Veterans Day.
Yes! Yes! and Oh Yes Kathleen! As Patti and I just told you in a telephone conversation, we most certainly DO READ each and every single comment that our followers submit. PERIOD! We honor and we treasure each and every single one.
Again I do not have to “go back” to previous Posts to “find” older comments because on our website all comments come into a separate “Comments Folder”. Right now our “Comments Folder” has (sit down so you don’t fall down Kathleen) three hundred and forty eight (348) pages!
We also try very hard to reply to each comment on the day they reach us. This comment is dated April 3, 2025 at ll:59pm. So I “snuck in under the bell” to get it dated April the 3rd. So I published it just before 12 midnight (East Coast time) and continue writing on into Thursday having gotten it “dated April 3, 2025”.
Over and Out Kathleen. We loved this comment. We love all of our comments. Cap and Patti
