Because we are going to “spend some time” writing about the NBA and Basketball further below, first we wanted to “slip something FUN in here”.

Thank YOU so very much for some fun NATIONAL TODAY ..

National Pop Goes The Weasel Day is enjoyed by many on June 14. This day celebrates the nursery rhyme that we all have been singing since we were kids. It has been around for almost 300 years now.

This day is a great throwback to those childhood memories. Not many would know that the rhyme was a comment on the social-political scenario during that era and the poverty that people had to endure.

It’s fun. And we wanted you (hopefully) to have some fun reading Pop Goes The Weasel!

Taa Daa .. Below is the link to the NATIONAL TODAY Holiday.. Pop Goes The Weasel Day.

“Pop goes the weasel” is said to describe the act of spending all your money just to have some drinks at the pub. So much so that you even have to pawn off your coat throughout the week to make some money.

And, with the above giggle, there you have it!

Sooo sorry you who are NOT NBA Basketball Fans. But Patti and I are “really into the NBA Championship Series”.

FRIDAY THE 13th.. The National Basketball Association..

Yesterday, NOT today, was Friday the 13th.

In our Post dated yesterday, Friday the 13th, we made the below observation about Friday the 13th and the ongoing National Basketball Association (NBA) Championship Series.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC) will be playing Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis, Indiana, today in game 4 of the NBA Championship Finals.

One will win and have: GOOD LUCK on Friday the 13th.

One will lose and have: BAD LUCK on Friday the 13th.

Now we Know.. The Rest of The Story..

Playing “on the road”, IN the City of Indianapolis, The Oklahoma City Thunder won (it was almost a MUST win game for OKC) a game that was closer than the below final score would indicate.

You can see from the above chart, the Indiana Pacers were leading after each of the first three quarters. The Pacers were not only ahead by 7 points, 87 – 80, going into the 4th Quarter, but the Pacers were pretty much “in control” of the game during the first three Quarters.

Patti and I “seem” to be “rooting” for Oklahoma City. But we are not at all against the Indiana Pacers. So we thought “The Pacers ARE going to win this game and lead the series 3 games to 1 and probably be the NBA Champions for 2025.

Then, in the 4th Quarter, behind and trailing 99 – 103!

Suddenly OKC “came alive” !!

Scoring 12 of the final 13 points in the game on a 12 – 1 ‘run’ and  winning the game 111 to 104.

OKC now holds “home court advantage” with game 5 and 7 if necessary being in Oklahoma City.

Now the series shifts back to Oklahoma City for game 5 this upcoming Monday, June the 16th.

Game 6 will be back in Indianapolis on Thursday, June the 19th.

IF a game 7 is required, it will be on Sunday, June the 22nd, in Oklahoma City.

Too funny Gullible, but thanks for following us and for your comment. What to do? Post the temperature in Moose Pass, Alaska? How about the weather in Anaktuvuk Pass up on the North Slope it’s 67°F up there now as I write. Where Oh Where would that end? We are physically IN Anchorage so THAT is where our temperature is. Smiling Gullible .. Cap and Patti
