Just the other day I wrote: With NATIONAL TODAY.. It can be Feast (several if not more Holidays that Patti and I really relate to) or Famine (not a single Holiday we relate to). This is not to say that there are not Holidays that are important. Oh no. But just ones that Patti and I can’t personally relate to.

Let’s begin with..
SAN FRANCISCO..
I first arrived in San Francisco in September of 1958 courtesy of The United States Marine Corps as I passed under the Golden Gate Bridge en route out into the Pacific Ocean. It was love at first sight. I returned in September of 1965 and San Francisco City proper along with Pacifica and Daly City just South of San Francisco on the Pacific Ocean were home to me for over 30 years. I was born and raised in Michigan. Yes I also lived briefly in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Virginia, Arizona, Southern California, New York, Indiana, Georgia and South Carolina. I also lived in West Germany for four years (1974 to 1978) and also travelled internationally to India and China. But San Francisco was my more or less “permanent” residence beginning in 1965.
Patti attended the University of California in Berkeley. Patti’s father also had San Francisco connections.
Celebrate San Francisco’s Birthday on June 29 with lively festivities that capture the true essence of this vibrant city. NATIONAL CAMERA DAY..
My mother was really into cameras and because of her so too have I been during my life.
Smile! National Camera Day is June 29, a day to celebrate the fact that photography, once so complicated it took a scientist to understand, is now part of our everyday lives.
Fast-forward through the centuries to today.. when everyone with a smartphone has a camera at their fingertips.

We couldn’t!!
HUG HOLIDAY was the number one, at the top of the list, Holiday on NATIONAL TODAY..
On June 29, we celebrate Hug Holiday.
