Sunday, November the 2nd, 2025.

Travel Day.. 

God Willing.

Because of national political issues, the Air Traffic Controllers are  not currently being paid. We write God Willing, because at 6am this “very early morning”, we are scheduled to fly from Anchorage, Alaska, South to Seattle, Washington. It is possible we may not be able to do this IF the Air Traffic Controllers are not working.

Leaving at 6am means being AT the airport at 4am. To achieve this, our taxi will pick us up at 3:30am.

In Seattle, we will have a 1 Hour and 20 minute “lay over”. Then we (again God Willing) fly South to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Detroit Tiger Tom will meet us and drive us South to Laughlin, Nevada. We plan to stay five nights at “Our” Edgewater Hotel.

Our Travel Day will be one very “Long Day”.

FIRST LIVE UPDATE..

Now this is hard to believe. Patti and I are PHYSICALLY, IN THE FLESH, at our boarding gate here at the Anchorage International (Ted Stevens) Airport.

For several months now, I have been very concerned about this trip. All IS well. All Is swell.

First, obviously we are going to fly to Seattle. IF we weren’t then we would not have been allowed to be out here. 

At 12:30am (Alaska Standard Time even though daylight time ended at 2am) I was able to lay down and I slept for just over two (2) full hours. I got up (I had two alarm clocks going!!) at 2:50am (Alaska Standard Time). At 3:30am our Yellow Cab Taxi arrived right on time to take us to the airport. We checked in at our airline at 4:05am. Our wheelchairs were ready and waiting.

We had an outstanding passage through TSA Security. Could not have possibly been better. TSA has really streamlined the process. Amazing.

It is now 4:34am and I am going to sign off for now. Our flight to Seattle is scheduled to begin boarding around 5:15am. The two below photos are of me accomplishing this update.

SECOND LIVE UPDATE..

THIS IS FROM SEATTLE, WASHINGTON..

SOUTH TO LAS VEGAS, NEVADA..

Patti and I are safely IN Seattle, Washington, after our flight to Seattle from Anchorage.

We are in great shape. Our flight is due to depart at 12 Noon for Las Vegas. We are due in Las Vegas at 2:28pm. So there you have it! 

I only had 10 minutes available before Patti and I were called to board our flight South to Las Vegas.

Talk about being willing to go to any length to enhance this Post!!

Patti snapped the below photos of me as, in the pre boarding area, I was writing this Second Live Update.

Notice I am sitting on a red carry-on suitcase. My laptop is resting on an empty seat in the  pre boarding area.
