NOV 27, 25 (1 / 2).. WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY, JOYOUS, AND SAFE THANKSGIVING..

Patti and I wish you all a HAPPY, JOYOUS, AND SAFE THANKSGIVING.

Our human minds are really something. They can work at “breakneck speed” BUT at any given millisecond they can only do one thing.

IF we can celebrate what is good and what we are thankful for, then our minds will not focus on what isn’t good and what is frustrating. As I know from my own life experiences and serious bouts with long term depression, it is not always easy, especially when one has serious, challenging, health issues to “Look at the bright side”.

Patti and I plan to have a low key, easy and relaxed Thanksgiving Day. We opted out of a meal with friends. Patti and I plan to attend meetings at 10am and at 3:30pm at the Sun Club here in Lake Havasu City.

America’s Thanksgiving holiday, born in the 1500s, mythologized in 1621, and observed even during the bleakest hours of the Civil War, now stands as one of the nation’s most anticipated and beloved days — celebrated each year on the fourth Thursday in November (November 27, 2025). Perhaps no other nonsectarian holiday has more tradition.

Family, friends, food, and football have come to symbolize Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is a rare celebratory holiday without an established gift-giving component.

Thanksgiving urges all of us to be grateful for the good things we have.

THE MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE..

Thanksgiving wouldn’t be quite the same without the THE MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE..

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual event held on Thanksgiving Day and this year, it falls on November 27. Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the biggest and most anticipated events during this holiday. It’s become a tradition among families to watch the parade on Thanksgiving Day. The parade was first introduced in 1924 and has continued to grow and develop since then, becoming an important part of the holiday season. Each year the floats become bigger and more elaborate with thousands of volunteers joining in to make this holiday celebration enjoyable for all those watching from home or coming to attend the parade.

There will be 34 balloons, 28 floats, 33 clown crews, 11 marching bands, 5,000 volunteers and over 3.5 million spectators at the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, with tens of millions more expected to watch from home.

For us the Parade begins at 6:30am MST (8:30am EST) and runs 3 – 1/2 hours.

Wow huh?! Everyone is enjoying their time either at home or elsewhere. Family, friends, watching their favorite football or basketball games, especially the turkey feast and all the trimmings, and just spending time together. Yes! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you Cap and Patti
