I added the below Super Bowl summary to yesterday’s Post..

Sunday evening, February the 8th, 2026.

Yes.. Yes.. Yes.. Patti and I watched Super Bowl LX (60).

Our T.V. did not cooperate! Translation: We could NOT get the T.V. to operate!

So? Patti and I went over to our neighbor Eddie’s apartment and watched half an hour of pre-game festivities and the entire 1st half. 

At halftime it was Seattle Seahawks 9 – 0 New England Patriots.

We skipped the half time show and came home and relaxed.

THEN our T.V. worked just fine and we watched the 2nd half here at home (our apartment).

FINAL SCORE .. Seattle Seahawks 29 – 13 New England Patriots.

We have several readers who, have begun, on their own, to check out NATIONAL TODAY Holidays.

IF we did NOT  honor this Holiday, we would very probably hear from them!

BUT.. Patti and I are also quite fond of Chocolate so it fits for us to share this Holiday..

Chocolate Day is celebrated every year on February 9.

The history of chocolate consumption goes back around 2,500 years. The Aztecs discovered liquid chocolate and believed that the god of wisdom, Quetzalcoatl, had blessed them with it. Cocoa seeds were considered so valuable that they were even used as a form of currency.

This afternoon, Patti and I will return to our local Emergency Room where the eight (8) staples in her head that were installed to stop the bleeding from her fall one week ago today, Monday, February the 2nd, at 6:30am, will be removed.

    I know quite a few people who have had pizza for breakfast. Including me. It’s like having toast but with cheese and meat on it. And maybe vegetables. I have met some men who use that as their main source of meals. Order a pizza for dinner, have some for breakfast and maybe some for lunch.

    You know I indulged in chocolate today. My morning snack was chocolate covered almonds. Yesterday’s snack was mint covered chocolates or chocolate covers mints. Enough to ruin my dinner. I don’t recommend that. But they sure were delicious.

    Did you ever show us a picture of the staples? When they put the shunt into my brain, there are a couple little pieces that are outside of the brain and under the scalp. They used regular stitches for that. It’s in an area that I can’t see easily but I could feel them. I was so happy when they took them out.

      In a way Kathleen, Pizza for breakfast makes sense. In a way! Why not.

      No. I have never shown a photo of the eight staples in Patti’s head Kathleen. It just didn’t seem “right or correct” to be photographing such a medical (or any others) procedure as it was being conducted. Today (Monday February the 9th) Patti’s staples were removed. Holding Patti’s hand to support her I got a close look at the process of removing them. No way would I have felt comfortable photographing the process that was uncomfortable to Patti. Cap

    I think yesterday was the first super bowl I did not watch. Most of them I only watched to see the commercials but of course now you can find them on the internet so you don’t even have to wait for the game. I just didn’t care enough about the game to want to subscribe to Peacock (I usually subscribe to peacock during football season but I wasn’t here for most of it.) I don’t get NBC as an over-the-air channel. I’m happy Seattle won because honestly, I wanted New England to lose. Schadenfreude. NE has enough super bowl rings. 🙃

      We really are having issues up in Anchorage (not quite so much down here in Arizona) with having, absolutely having to have, youTube with Paramount +. Period. Like it (we don’t) or not. We must have Paramount + and pay extra for it. We found out they bought out CBS.

      I lived in West Germany for four years but did not recall schadenfreude ! It means .. pleasure or satisfaction derived from another persons misfortune. Interesting Kathleen. I strive NOT to watch any sporting event with that attitude. IF in my heart I feel it (schadenfreude) I try to disguise it by rooting extra hard for the other team to win! Then here comes the rock and hard spot. I can, and it does, happen that the team I am rooting for is the same team that I don’t like (schadenfreude) otherwise. Smiling Kathleen. Cap and Patti
