INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS..

The International Day of Happiness is celebrated on March 20.

If you’re happy and you know it, celebrate it!! Happy is how we should be. Unfortunately, emotions like anger and sadness are increasingly becoming a default way to be for a lot of us, so here’s a day to cheer up and appreciate the good things and silver linings in life.

We celebrate International Day of Happiness thanks to the work done by the United Nations and its partner nonprofit group Action for Happiness, which is composed of people from 160 countries.

Everyone has their own definition of happiness, or things that make them happy, which is why there are no traditions set in stone for this day.

Happiness is about feeling content and not having to fake your feelings, so whatever makes you happy, celebrate yourself!

Being internally happy is the key to being satisfied with your surroundings, so challenge yourself and be open to new people and experiences. Cherish the little things, and be grateful for everything in that moment.

Why on earth does NATIONAL TODAY have not one, not two, but three separate Holidays, each with a different name, for the Vernal Equinox? 

Gullible says that each holiday is a money maker for the NATIONAL TODAY website and she seems to be correct!

Spring begins today, The Spring Equinox and The March Equinox, are annual celebrations that occur on March 20. They are one of the four solar festivals of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, the Spring and the March Equinox are referred to as the Vernal equinox. It marks the start of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the autumn season in the Southern Hemisphere. It marks the Sun’s crossing above the Earth’s equator, moving from south to north. Like all Equinoxes, the March equinox is distinctive in that it has almost exactly the equal amount of daylight and nights across many latitudes of Earth.
