APR 6, 26.. EASTER 2026 .. LIBRARY DAY..
YESTERDAY’S NEWS..
In Part 2 of yesterday’s Post..
Down near the bottom of the Post under the heading ..
EASTER CHANGES ANNUALLY..
I wrote the below..
Interesting that National Today did not even mention Easter Sunday.
Most of you realize that we write and publish our posts late in the evening of the day before the date of the Post or very early in the morning of the day of the Post. When we wrote and published Part 2 of 2 APR 5, 26, this statement was 100% accurate and correct.
Then, this evening of April 5th, Patti discovered that (perhaps on Easter Sunday itself?) NATIONAL TODAY did indeed publish a year 2026 Easter Sunday Holiday.

“So what Captain?” .. “Yes! You have a point! So what!” .. “Credibility!”

EASTER MONDAY..

Easter Monday, falling on April 6 this year, is the Christian (public) holiday after Easter Sunday.
How odd in the above image, they categorize it as .. CATHOLIC .. CHRISTIAN .. WORLD ..
The Catholic Church is the largest Christian church.
The Catholic Church likes to call it the “Monday of the Angel.”
The first-known use of the term ‘Easter Monday’ began in the 15th century.
There are different and interesting traditions surrounding the Monday that comes immediately after Easter Day.
The Bible does not instruct the observance of this holiday, however many Christian groups, primarily Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox, celebrate this day as a legal holiday and part of their cultural tradition.
I am shocked !! I have never, as in NEVER EVER, read or known the below..
What Rock have I been living under!
According to the Book of Acts (1:3) following the Crucifixion and Resurrection from the dead, Jesus remained on Earth for 40 days, during which he appeared before the believers, healed the sick, and spread the message of God. Jesus’s acts also contributed to the first establishment of the church. Jesus appeared to many, including Mary Magdalene, the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and over 500 people at once, as noted in 1 Corinthians 15:6. It is believed Jesus ascended to the heavens after the 40 days following his Resurrection.

This.. Is.. Patti’s.. Day..!! Patti absolutely loves libraries!! It is Patti’s experience, both in her local community libraries and libraries visited around the world, the people who work in libraries are ALWAYS polite, extremely helpful, and welcoming. Tender salutes to library workers!!
National Library Day is celebrated every year on 6 April.

Libraries aren’t a new concept. Libraries date back millennia. The first systematically organized library was founded in the 7th century B.C. by Assyrian ruler Ashurbanipal in Nineveh, in contemporary Iraq. It contained approximately 30,000 cuneiform tablets sorted by subject.
Almost every great civilization has built libraries.
Great News !!
As the influence of the Internet grew, many believed that there would no longer be a need for libraries, but history has proven otherwise, as libraries continue to flourish and are now more popular than ever!
People still like to physically visit a library and spend time among books and other readers.
