MAY 10, 26.. MOTHER’S DAY.. INTUITION.. GOLF..

Today IS Mother’s Day so it’s a “No Brainer” for it to be our first NATIONAL TODAY Holiday..

More than 40 countries worldwide observe Mother’s Day from February through December.

MOTHER’S DAY takes place on May 10th this year.

Being a Mother.. “The toughest job you’ll ever love”.

Motherhood is a job that is ever-changing and frequently exasperating. Moms don’t get days off, nor do they receive handsome salaries or generous pensions. Instead, their rewards come in the form of sticky kisses, necklaces made of elbow macaroni, and the satisfaction of seeing their children grow up to be happy, healthy adults. That’s probably not adequate compensation, so give Mom an extra hug or a special gift on Mother’s Day.

Interesting.. 

The early Christian festival known as “Mothering Sunday” stands as the modern precursor to Mother’s Day. This European tradition fell on the fourth Sunday in Lent. Many believed the faithful would return on this day to their “mother church” the main church near their home for a special service.

TRUST YOUR INTUITION DAY..

This is one of those NATIONAL TODAY Holidays that intrigued Patti and me.

Intuition is.. The ability to acquire knowledge or make decisions instantly without conscious reasoning, often described as a “gut feeling” or immediate insight. It functions as a rapid, subconscious pattern-recognition process that utilizes past experiences, emotions, and stored memories to evaluate situations.

For many years, experts dismissed intuition seeing it as a pseudo-science. Studies have since progressed and established intuition as a vital part of human brain functions. This celebration is a reminder to put that power to good use in our daily lives.

We all have intuition, whether we know it and honor it or not.

GOLF DAY.. 

I have only played a few “Rounds” of Golf, those being with my Father, during my High School Summers.

During the summer months, I was also “Caddie” at a very nice country club (Red Run in Royal Oak, Michigan).  I became a “Sought After” Caddie meaning several local golfers liked my style as a Caddie and asked that I be assigned to them.

Like me, Patti  only played a few rounds with her father when her father and mother lived adjacent to a golf course once Patti was an adult.

Both Patti and I enjoy watching some of the Major Golf Tournaments such as the Masters held in early April. We enjoy seeing the beautiful courses and relaxing with the slow pace of the game.

National Golf Day is celebrated every May 10 of the year.

Here is where we are going with this Golf Holiday!!

It has been a few years, maybe longer, but Patti and I were watching a Tournament..

And suddenly Patti squealed ..

“Cap! That golfers cap says Tit Less!  Why would a golfer wear a hat with those words?”

Laughing I said to Patti.. “His cap says Titleist NOT Tit Less. Titleist is the name of a golf ball manufacturer!”

We are still chucking about this.
