MAY 19, 26.. PLANTING.. CHOCOLATE !! .. and ?? Gads Zooks..

Today we have two pleasant NATIONAL TODAY Holidays.

First just for Patti our Planter and our Gardener !

Plant Something Day is celebrated in the United States every year on May 19.

Ah-h-h-h- NATIONAL TODAY !! up here in Alaska it is “just a tad early” to begin planting !! But we didn’t want to miss sharing this Holiday with you and with Patti.

NATIONAL TODAY replied with.. It could be a flower, a tree, or an Indoor Plant. Any plant that grows would suffice.

Only about 10% of the world’s plant-rich areas are protected to make sure that more plant species can survive.

There are more than 80,000 edible plant species. However, about 90% of the food we eat comes from only about 30 plants.

This makes the human diet more limited than it has to be. 

There is quite a bit to read about the environmental effect that we are having on our crops.

WET MACULAR DEGENERATION injection into my left eye.

Today is Tuesday, the 19th of May, 2026. 

Oh My.. Oh My .. The clock of time has again moved forward.

Here we. We?? .. Here I go this morning around 11am in Anchorage, with my 15th (how time flies when you’re having fun) eye injection..

First .. It does NOT hurt at all. But you can’t close your eye!

Second .. It IS saving my eyesight !

BUT .. It’s just “The Idea of having two Needles (0ne for numbing and one to inject medicine) inserted into my left eye” that bothers me.

Tuesday, May 19th, update #1.

Today’s appointment was beyond fantastic. On a zero (bad) to ten (best) it was off the chart at a fifty (50). I felt absolutely nothing except the eye drops that proceed the first numbing injection (which I didn’t even know my Dr. had done) which is then followed (after a brief wait of maybe 5 minutes) by the medical injection. Home sleeping now (at 3:05pm) I am up for a brief “call to nature” and back to bed to join Patti who is also sleeping.

10pm Tuesday, update #2 IF there is a problem it is this. My left eye did not appreciate the procedure and is making it known to me as it is “Regrouping !!”

2:10am, Friday, May the 21st, update #3. For reasons that I do not understand, after an exceptional visit to my eye doctor last Tuesday the 19th,  my recovery from the 15th injection in my left eye has been far more difficult than it has been after any of the other injections. The medicine injected was a different medication. Finally, after 1 – 1/2 days, and resting my eyes for long naps and flooding them with eye drops, my left eye is actually feeling pretty good.
