There were twelve (12) NATIONAL TODAY Holidays for June the 8th..
One Holiday is all it takes and they had a very good Holiday about Best Friends.

June 8th is National Best Friends Day..
This is yet another “Nice Feeling” Holiday.
Who can argue against having Best Friends?
Best Friends help to carry us through our lives.
The Mayo Clinic reports: “Friends help you cope with traumas, such as divorce, serious illness, job loss, or the death of a loved one. They also encourage you to change or avoid unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as excessive drinking or lack of exercise.”
If it is possible, many Best Friends do not live close to us so an in person visit is impossible, today’s the day to enjoy a little one-on-one time with the people who never fail to catch us when we fall.
Interesting !! In 1935, the U.S. Congress decided to devote a day each year in tribute to close friends. Congress chose June 8, which is usually a balmy day in all regions of the country, perfect for outdoor activities.
However this is no longer true due to serious climate changes in the past ninety (90) years !!

Patti and I do not select Holidays only because they are interesting or fun. We select Holidays where we can personally share about our own experience.
The second, the instant, that I saw the Best Friends Day Holiday, I thought instantly about My Own Best Friend..

Thank you both for being such good and caring friends. It always warms my heart when you reach out to check up on me. I am blessed to have many friends. Last year when I had my ruptured brain aneurysm and ended up in the hospital for several weeks, my friends moved heaven and Earth to make sure I wasn’t alone, to make sure my animals were taken care of, to make sure my family was made aware. And it didn’t stop when I got out of the skilled nursing facility. They kept on helping out. I have marveled over it several times. Several of my friends are spread out across California and they managed to connect even though they didn’t know each other. They managed to connect with my family too. Part of that is the miracle of the internet. I am still in shock over how much they did for me and I am so grateful for all of my friends who have showed up for me. I feel like the luckiest woman on the planet.
Yes indeed Kathleen !! You.. Are.. Family.. Period.. NO ifs, NO ands, NO buts. What would any of us do without our Friends.. Cap and Patti
