AUG 16, 26 .. TWO SENIOR MOMENTS..

Patti and I have been in “The Rooms of Recovery” here in Anchorage, Alaska, dating back to 1988 (Patti) and 1994 (Cap).

Over these two long time periods, we have come to know a lot of people.

Kyle and Martha are a couple we knew individually before, and then after, they became a couple.

Several weeks ago, Patti and I attended a meeting up here in Anchorage. Kyle was the meeting Secretary.

I was asked to “Chair” the meeting.

When I went up to the table to join Kyle, and not having a clue who he was because I did NOT recognize him, although we date back maybe 20 years, Kyle was properly shocked when I introduced myself! But, he smiled and we did the meeting.

After the meeting I got a photo of Kyle for my Contacts so this won’t happen again!!

I told Patti all of this after the meeting. Patti was as surprised as Kyle was at my not recognizing him.

Are you ready?

Two days (2 short days) later Patti and I attended the same meeting. Martha was celebrating an Anniversary and was at the head table.

As the meeting progressed, Patti was shocked Martha had not called on her husband Kyle to share.

When Martha called on Kyle to share..

Patti did not have a clue who the Kyle that Martha called on was!

Then Kyle, in his share mentioned, Martha and them getting married. Patti was astonished because Patti did not recognize Kyle from two days earlier when she did recognize him.

How about our two Senior Moments?

The Rest of The Story..

Kyle has, first, gained a lot of weight, and second, is now supporting a full, very gray beard, both are new for him.
