MONDAY SEPTEMBER THE 21st.. a/k/a yesterday..
Do all of you know, and realize, that one of he real gifts in the Rooms of Recovery, is the fact everyone is talking about, and sharing, their actual experience. No one is talking about “Book Learning”.
Until YOU have actually experienced the below, you don’t know how stressful the below was..
Yesterday, after (count them) eleven (long and very stressful) days without a motor vehicle (Friday, September the 11th when I had to be towed to my local Chevrolet Dealer, until Monday the 21st), at 4:45pm, I got our truck back.
Just over two thousand ($2,024) buckaroos!
For what? Finding and fixing a number of miscellaneous electrical demons, as well as some other long overdue maintenance issues.

TUESDAY SEPEMBER THE 22nd.. a/k/a today..
Today, Tuesday the 22nd of September, at 1pm, I will receive my 18th, left eye injection for my Wet Macular Degeneration.
Another adventure that you can’t really fathom until you have experienced the process.

I’m glad you got it back! I know the feeling of being without transportation. Yes, there is Lyft and Uber or a taxi service but I don’t always want to shell out a big chunk of change. I have called friends for rides to and from Kaiser. Sometimes the ER and sometimes regular appointments. I do appreciate them and it becomes a lovely time to catch up because all of us seem to be poor at calling people. But when I have a working vehicle, even if I don’t go anywhere, it’s the knowledge that whenever I need to go, whatever I need to get, I can get in my car and go. It’s having the choice, not having the choice made for you!
I’m glad that you have the opportunity to get the shots. I know it would be out of reach for some people. I hope and pray I don’t need to utilize it.
