DYSLEXIA ..

Via AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Dyslexia is a lifelong neurodevelopmental learning disorder that impairs accurate and fluent word reading, spelling, and language processing.

Dyslexia affects roughly 5% to 20% of the population, occurs across all intelligence levels, and is not caused by vision problems, laziness, or a lack of educational opportunity.

Many famous people experienced Dyslexia, including Leonardo da Vinci, Saint Teresa, Napoleon Bonaparte, Winston Churchill, Carl Jung, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, John Lennon, and Alexander Graham Bell.

Dyslexia Day is observed every October 8th.

Dyslexia is a common learning disorder impacting reading and writing.

Cap here !! When I was in the 4th or 5th grade in Elementary School, due to learning difficulties in school, I was about to be “set back” one full grade. Instead (and I have no idea how it came to happen) I was diagnosed (this was year 1945 or so) with Dyslexia.

I then worked intensely, one-on-one, with a wonderful remedial teacher, Cally Gartrell. I hope that to the day I die, I will never forget Ms. Gartrell.

If you were to ask Patti IF I seem to have the below symptoms..

..Difficulty reading aloud, especially unfamiliar words
..Slow and inaccurate reading speed
..Poor spelling and grammar
..Confusion with letters and sounds
..Difficulty with rhyming and word retrieval
..Problems with attention and organization

Patti would say: “Cap does NOT seem to have any of the above symptoms!”

Nice to know that I am not alone. Forty (40) Million adults in the U.S. deal with depression.

Sad to read that Depression and Anxiety Disorders are still largely viewed as something to hide!!
