SEP 2, 14 .. A LITTLE CHIT-CHAT ..
IF you have been following my .. bobba caps doxology .. web site .. you know that I have recently ‘been-active’ on my other web site publishing a number of lengthy posts about various adventures here in the Royal Oak Michigan (Detroit) area that Patti and I have been enjoying since arriving here one full month ago on August 2nd.
So what’s new?
I now sit in my Chevrolet / GMC auto dealer waiting for some routine servicing to be completed. Do all of you know what windshield washers are? You know .. you press a button or turn a crank or do something and liquid sprays onto your windshield while your windshield wiper blades move back and forth and then you can see again.
Well the water-works on the right side of the windshield (Patti’s side of the truck) have stopped working. So when our windshield gets dirty .. my side gets cleaned and Patti’s side remains foggy and dirty and streaked etc.
I was just .. ah-h-h .. advised by my service representative .. that a new nozzle for the passenger-side windshield wiper would cost me one hundred and five dollars ($105) AND the labor to install this nozzle would run an additional one hundred and twenty ($120) dollars. Do-your-math sports fans .. two hundred and twenty five ($225) buck-a-roos!!
Can any-of-you reading along here remember when your parents used to complain about cost(s) of things?
And here I am .. doing the exact and doing the precise same identical thing!!
You can run .. you can NOT hide!! I need for safety reasons and Patti wants for enjoyment reasons .. to see out of the right side of the windshield. So I said .. “Do it. I want the windshield clean when I want it clean.” Then Ray (a customer sitting next to me .. who is age76 .. I will soon be age 78) and I began to get-to-know one-another after Ray got some similar ‘news’ about his automobile.
What is it that ‘they’ say .. Misery Loves Company. It helped the two-of-us .. Ray and myself .. to visit !!
Moving right along here .. the NFL (National Football League) season starts this coming Thursday the 4th of September. Patti and I have tickets to attend the first home game of the Detroit Lions football team next monday night the 8th of September against the New York (Football) Giants.
HOT DIGGETY DOG !!
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AND PATTI AND I WILL BE THERE IN THE CROWD!!
Then we will see what we shall see about traveling to the East Coast of the United States to visit friends.
