OCT 2, 14 .. BLACK BEAUTY MEETS SOME FRIENDS ..

Patti and I have arrived safely into Palenville New York .. a small village South of Albany New York to the West of Interstate Highway 87 that goes South to New York City.

Black Beauty is the name of our 1998 GMC Suburban Truck.

Coming here from Detroit .. this past Tuesday as we were attempting to find Niagara Falls (City) Ontario (Province)  Canada (Nation) .. Patti and myself and Black Beauty got into one big mess when we missed an exit off Kings Highway 3 approaching Fort Erie Ontario and ended up alone .. in the rain and in the dark of night .. in a commercial trucking staging-area with only HUGE TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCKS lined up to pass through Canadian Customs.  I did a post about this titled .. SEP 30, 14 .. NIAGARA FALLS CANADA.

Some of you reading along here may not fully appreciate the difference between a Truck and a TRUCK.  Black Beauty is a small private passenger Truck.  A TRUCK on the other hand is a large commercial vehicle that we here in the Untied States call a SEMI.  A SEMI is a combination of a Tractor that pulls a cargo Semi-Trailer.

So I decided to snap a few photographs of Black Beauty (our Truck) and several SEMIS.  Below you have the Red Tractor hooked up to the white cargo Semi-Trailer.

You can clearly see the difference between the two types of TRUCKS ..

Patti .. the always and ever-patient Patti .. see her above .. is either looking down reading yet-another of her ever-present books .. or .. Patti is looking down .. sighing to herself .. and thinking .. ” Cap? Are we ever going to get there?” ..

Patti stood beside the above SEMI Tractor just to show you how large they truly are ..

And how .. HOW could I NOT snap a photograph of the below SEMI and his little friend riding along on the roof of his cab and sleeper box ?
