OCT 15, 14 .. A NICE LUNCH IN BOSTON ..

Just in case you don’t know what the photograph below is showing .. the photograph below is a picture of Singapore Rice Noodle ..

“Yes ‘Zilla?” .. “I know you know but not everyone else knows what Singapore Rice Noodle looks like.”

Our gracious hosts in the Boston area .. Ed and Martha themselves had never seen nor eaten Singapore Rice Noodles.

So Ed and Martha ..

And Patti and I ..

The four of us went out looking for a Chinese Restaurant near their home to eat some Singapore Rice Noodles.

And just look-what-we-found !

With no preconceived plans .. in just-driving-around .. we found The Noodle Stix Chinese Restaurant ..

Noodle Stix is located at 11 Belmont Street in Cambridge Massachusetts 02138.

Wendy .. the wife of Jin Lin and the hostess for the restaurant .. greeted the four of us and said .. “Oh yes .. We serve Singapore Rice Noodle.”  Wendy’s son Vincent .. is behind Wendy to the right below.

So the four of us sat down and enjoyed a very nice meal consisting of two orders of Singapore Rice Noodles and one order of Pad Thai as well.

Noodle Stix is really a Take-Out Restaurant but they do have two tables.  In the photo above the second of the two tables is off to the right.  When we entered .. we noticed two really sweet children sitting at the other table working on school work and eating.

We want you all to meet Jocelyn .. Wendy and Jin Lin’s daughter ..

Oh beautiful child .. Oh beautiful daughter of-the-orient ..

Then Jocelyn’s brother .. Vincent .. joined her for a snack between their chores ..

“YES INDEED !  IT WAS A SUPER NIFTY LUNCH AND VISIT FOR US !”

With Joy .. Cap and Patti ..

A short Post Script .. As you can see in some of the above photographs .. I finally was able to get Jocelyn to overcome her shyness at my photography-efforts and to look directly into my camera.  I could NOT get Vincent to do the same.

In the below photo .. taken after our lunch and after we had come-to-know them .. you can see Jocelyn ‘posing’ for me outside Noodle Stix.  On the left side of the photo .. Her father Jin Lin is stooping to lift a box of supplies for Noodle Stix. In the far distance you can see Ed and Martha and Patti looking back .. thinking .. “Is Cap ever going to finish his photo-shoot?”

Believe me .. once Jocelyn ‘warmed-up’ to us .. she was everywhere I pointed my camera !

What a very sweet family .. hanging-in-there to make a living ..

“Yes ‘Zilla?” .. “On a 0 to 10 scale .. the Singapore Rice Noodle was a solid 10 .. as-good-as-it-gets!”
