NOV 15, 14 .. WORDS ARE FAILING ME AT PRESENT ..
Patti and I are in Hong Kong China. It is Saturday .. November 15th here in the SAR. The SAR is the Special Administrative Region of China. To you all .. it is Friday the 14th of November UNLESS you are in this neck-of-the-woods with us and that includes all of you in INDIA.
I sit here .. asking my mind .. where on this good earth hast thou gone when I need you most ?
I had forgotten what a challenge a severe jet lag of thirteen hours can do to one !!
ONE THING .. ONE STEP AT A TIME .. CAPTAIN ..
Which is to say .. Patti and I got here .. we are in Hong Kong .. safe and sound .. and pretty much road-weary much to both my surprise and utter dismay. I have .. after all .. been here and done this somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty (20) or even more times.
OH YES !!
We are getting things done. We got to a meeting up at 12 Borrett Road here in Hong Kong. We did not stay .. we did not know that the 6:30PM Friday Night meeting at 12 Borrett Road was a men’s-only meeting. But at least we two got there. It took us just over one and one-half hours (95 minutes) to get to it but we did .. get to it. We did not stay for the men’s meeting even though the guys who were there an hour early did a quick group-conscience and said Patti could stay. Patti did not want to nor was willling to insert herself into a men’s meeting. I agreed and fully supported Patti. So the two of us shagged on outta theah .
WE DID IMMENSELY ENJOY AND BOTH LOVED THE GETTING TO THE MEETING PROCESS ! Who wouldn’t enjoy everything .. Just Being In Hong Kong !
Getting Patti’s wheel chair up and into a Hong Kong Mini-Bus and stashed was a new experience. We were first in line and first to board the Number 9 Mini-Bus at Exchange Place and that helped. NEVER have fellow passengers and bus drivers been more helpful and more friendly and wonderful. Makes me a bit weepy and teary. WONDERFUL PEOPLE ALL OF THEM .

We have eaten Singapore Rice Noodles at my favorite authentic restaurant here in Kowloon ..

The YMCA Hotel and Youth Hostel is great .. as usual .. as always ..
Patti is in the ladies dorm .. I am next door .. in the men’s dorm. The savings? About one hundred and thirty ($130) american dollars each and every day. Give a little .. take a little.

Yes we made our dental appointments on time and at the right office yesterday (Friday afternoon the 14th of November).

Last night .. en route home to the YMCA Hotel and Youth Hostel from the meeting we did not attend (it being a men-only meeting .. YES .. I know .. I am repeating myself) .. at the Star Ferry (below is a photo of a Hong Kong Star Ferry) terminal I up-and-decided .. mid-trip-beginning mind you all ..

I DECIDED TO PART-WAYS-WITH ..
My luggage .. one piece having been-with-me for over twenty (20) years and I purchased .. not one .. but two (2) brand new suitcases.
Sentiment aside I ..
REALLY NEEDED
To upgrade my act.
Today I need .. Today I must .. Find our new Hotel. Patti and I are staying in a different hotel for the next four nights starting Sunday night the 16th. We can only stay seven nights in the YMCA Hotel and Youth Hostel Dorm so we are breaking the stay into three segements.
1. The YMCA Dorms for three nights .. 13-15 November.
2. The Homy Inn Hostel on Chatham Road South here in Kowloon .. 16-19 November.
3. The YMCA Dorms for four nights .. 20-23 November.
4. Monday the 24th of November Patti flies back to Alaska and I fly to India.
