Today was the day to get out and explore some of the attractions here in Mariinsk.

One of our most enjoyable visits was to the V. A. Chivilikhin Museum. I have published a post on blogspot showing this museum.

We also visited the Chapel of the Great Martyr Anastasia Uzoreshitelnitsa.

It was an amazing attraction.

It is an attraction in and of itself!

Oh Sigh! Why is it that I’m falling in love with each and with every city here in Russian Siberia that I’m visiting!

Oh Yes! There were three more museum visits today.

This short post has been but a sample.

    As I mentioned on the phone, I am amazed that Mariinsk, population a little over 40,000, has THREE museums. This certainly looks like a very tender, sweet place. Glad you ended up going back here for a few days. I have been humming that one song I recognized all day! Safe travels. Love, Patti

      The song, the Traditional Russian Folk song? Was that the one you’ve been humming. Mike too really was impressed with how special what little we truly saw in Mariinsk was.

      I could have stayed much longer in Mariinsk.

      BUT .. I could have stayed much longer in Kzyzl and its neighboring villages of ЭЛЕГЕСТ and ШАГОНАР, and Abakan along with Minusinsk, Krasnoyarsk, and recently Novosibirsk.

      I’ve no idea of when I’ll be leaving Russian Siberia BUT no matter the time, I’ll probably NOT be ready to leave!
