JUN 1, 19 .. THE 358th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF IRKUTSK, RUSSIAN SIBERIA

I must begin this Post with a THANK YOU to our friend and our Host here in Irkutsk, Sergey. If Sergey had not told Patti and I about this Anniversary Celebration, the two of us would have been blissfully unaware of all of the doings around us.

Patti and I want to show you photos of the events we experienced.

One was an outdoor Rock Concert held in the vicinity of the Monument to Alexander III.

In the below map, the upper small red balloon points to our flat. The lower red balloon points to the Monument to Alexander III and the the area of the Rock Concert. So we walked down the Angara River (center red balloon ) walkway (see the nice green belt beside the river below) to see the Rock Concert.

The other event we will show you was an Angara River Cruise. In the below map, the red balloons point to our general route as we cruised the Angara. We began, and we ended our cruise, at the center red balloon. First we cruised down to the bridge you see at the lower red balloon. Then we turned around and cruised up the Angara River to the topmost red balloon.

Did we snap any photos? Yes we did. To see our photos click onto the below link.
