It is so nice here that.. today.. I telephoned Patti and I said .. “Get over here and join me.. “
So those wheels are being set into motion ..
HOPEFULLY that will happen .. some details will have to be worked out.. but I am hopeful and confident she will join me here ..

Why is it .. cell phone companies .. are a little less than honest with us.. they do not tell us everything ..
I am with VODAFONE here .. a very major (THE MAJOR ) player in the cell phone industry in India..
It has taken me well over one full month and a half to get things sorted out.. for instance .. what and how my charges are figured out .. I am paying roaming charges because I bought my cell unit in New Delhi.. they did not tell me this..
The Calcutta Vodafone Office dis-avowed my VODAFONE from New Delhi.. THAT IS NOT OUR CELL PHONE .. I mean my cell phone is NOT a Nokia.. it is NOT a Samsung.. on it.. printed into it .. is the word.. VODAFONE.. bought from a VODAFONE factory store in New Delhi yet dis-avowed in Calcutta .. we (VODAFONE in Calcutta and I finally got past that) ..
OK.. I have a pre-paid cell phone.. I buy.. in advance .. (I re-charge it full of money) .. cell phone time ..
I HAD one hour and nine minutes of time remaining on my .. long distance to the United States .. International Plan .. ( I have two plans on my one cell phone.. DOMESTIC and INTERNATIONAL .. )
So KNOWING I would be on the train from Calcutta to the west (here to Agra Cantt) .. and wanting to have many minutes so I could be in touch with Patti all during the train trip ..
I went into the VODAFONE factory office in Calcutta and I said.. “I want to re-charge my International Plan to its maximum .. 339 Rupees..” .. and cheerfully they did just this for me..
YOU DO THE MATH.. I had 49 minutes on it when I re-charged.. I added 339 re-charge minutes to it.. so.. when done.. I walked out thinking .. “Now I have 388 minutes on it.. 339 additional plus 49 existing equals 388 minutes.. “
WRONG .. I had 339 minutes only .. NOT 388 ..
Back I went .. got a ticket .. waited in line again .. WAS TOLD .. “Sir.. when you re-charge .. you lose your existing minutes ..“
“You did NOT tell me that.. it does NOT say that on the re-charge card I bought from you .. “
“Sir.. company policy..”
Over and Over and Over Again we went.. to no avail ..
THEN .. IN THE LEARNING PROCESS I LEARNED .. I CAN ONLY TELEPHONE OTHER CELL PHONES IN THE UNITED STATES.. I CAN NOT TELEPHONE ANY LAND LINES..
Did they tell me this.. NO .. finally .. AFTER hearing for six weeks.. ‘Sorry that number is NOT AVAILABLE” .. I figured out that all these were land line calls..
YES .. I will live.. NO .. this will spoil nothing .. It is what it is..
OH HOW WELL I AM SLEEPING HERE IN INDIA.. MY NAPS ARE PHENOMENAL .. WHAT A BLESSING GOOD.. SOUND.. RESTFUL.. SLEEP IS ..
