FEB 10, 18 .. OATMAN, ARIZONA .. THE TOWN

Yesterday (when I was young) a Post completely-got-away-from-me. In a nutshell, it had become impossibly long.

From out of the ashes of self-made destruction, I arose and decided to make yesterday’s post into two separate, individual posts.

Thus these two Oatman, Arizona, posts have become one (yesterdays) centered totally upon the burros and two (todays) centered on the town.

Works-for-me.

Below are photos I snapped as we entered into the general area of Oatman.

One year ago, I snapped the below photo of the Oatman City Limit sign.

Based upon the below photos, things have gone-downhill for the sign.

The front-end-loader is not quite sure that it has ever been used before to prop-up a sign.

Below we take a walk from the South end of Oatman to the North end. Patti is wearing a green shirt. Do you see Patti?

This shop has many old time clothing items that people dress up in for old time photographs.

I won’t comment on all of the photos BUT, IF I were to comment, I am not sure what I would say about the below photo?

Sure enough, there it is on the below map.

Patti did not accompany me on my long and slow walk from one end of Oatman to the other. Patti and our friend Ginny sat on the outdoor bench in front of Fast Fanny’s Place and, while visiting, listened to the music being played by wind chimes hanging from the front facade of the building.

Yellowhammer’s is a jewelry shop. I had a very nice visit with the owner.

I did not have the time to visit each and every shop in detail. But I did spend some time in Judy’s Saloon. For one thing, I was tired and I needed to rest and relax and have something cold to drink.

A nice outdoor seating area when the temperature is comfortable. In the summer it will be very hot here in Oatman.

Time to go inside of Judy’s Beer & Wine.

Now how about the below cold drink for something good and healthy?

Replete with souvenir T-Shirts.

Let’s leave Judy’s and go back out onto the main street.

In addition to time spent in Judy’s, I also paid an in-depth visit to the Gold Rush Candy Shop.

An old mining car used for decoration.

We have gotten to the far end of Oatman. We are at the Oatman Post Office.

It is difficult to see him, but on the Post Office bench is a gentleman that I visited with at-length. He goes by the name of Thunder.

Well there-you-have-it. A photographic tour through the town of Oatman, Arizona.

Smiles from Patti and from Cap

Thanks Andrej. I could have lost an eye. Bad. No warning at all. Usually when one has a vertigo attack you can ‘feel’ it coming. We hope you survive winter there. Very nice out here. Cap
