FEB 13, 18 .. WE HAVE ARRIVED IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA

Monday, February 12th, 2018

Patti and I had a very pleasant departure from Lake Havasu City. We checked out of our room at 11AM and then spent the next several hours exploring Lake Havasu State Park.

What did we do in Lake Havasu State Park?

We went looking for some more Lake Havasu City Lighthouses.

And?

We found four more.

Then?

We were starving hungry.

The Raspberry / Cheesecake did not do the trick. We then brought in our favorite of favorites.

Then we headed for Phoenix about 3PM.

Things went very well until we hit some unnecessary and totally unwanted DRAMA.

This will not take long. I am tired and I am ready to drop.

Your very own Captain ..

Missed a turn coming into the Western side of Phoenix.  As a result of my screw-up, we got us lost. We really got lost and we really got disoriented. This cost us seventy (70) miles of unwanted and totally unnecessarily driving and two (2) hours (or so, give-or-take) of our time.

The one-good-thing?

When we were about thirty (30) miles into our ‘detour’, I pulled off the freeway in an attempt to unravel the mess we were in.

And?

And we turned into the parking lot of a Sam’s Club store.

And?

We filled up our truck with gasoline and I went into the Sam’s Club and bought some much needed Raisin Bran Cerial, Tuna Lunch Kits, and Mira-Lax.

“That is that Captain?”

“Yes!” .. “That IS that!”

What an absolute bummer the above mis-adventure was.

Oh Yawn!

“Let’s turn out the lights Patti.”

“Sounds good go me Cap.”
