FEB 12, 18 .. LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA

Patti and I stayed two nights in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Originally we planned to stay only one night, so we reserved a room at the WINDSOR INN for Sunday. When we decided to stay two nights, we could not get a room at the WINDSOR INN on Saturday night, so we booked a room at the TRAVELER’S INN.

Saturday the 10th.

TRAVELER’S INN

One king bed.

Sunday the 11th.

WINDSOR INN.

This is big. This was the first hotel / motel on this trip that our truck was able to park right in front of our room door.

Two queen beds.

Out and off to see just a little of Lake Havasu City.

LONDON BRIDGE.

Yes, THE London Bridge, in London, England, was dismantled, brick-by-brick, shipped across the ocean to Lake Havasu City and reassembled. The below link tells the story.

Below is a two-photo panorama of the bridge.

There is a beach associated with the bridge.

LAKE HAVASU LIGHTHOUSES

Now we get to another, ah-h-h-h, interesting attraction here in Lake Havasu City.

Below is a link explaining the Lighthouse Club.

So out and off we went to find several of the twenty five lighthouses. The four we found were miles-apart from one-another.

OUR FIRST LIGHTHOUSE.

I accidently stumbled-upon our first lighthouse which is located in London Bridge Beach. It was at this first lighthouse I learned that it was but one of many.

OUR SECOND LIGHTHOUSE

Little-did-I-know, when I snapped the below two photos of the marina, as viewed from London Bridge Beach, that (quite-by-accident) I would photograph one of the lighthouses. Do you all see it (red and white) on the very left side of the photos?

It was exceedingly difficult to get to the above lighthouse. We had to drive several miles and practically go on a witch-hunt to find it. Michael, driving his auto got us close and then it was Patti who spied it through some heavy brush. I then walked 10-minutes in / out along an ardous, rocky beach to get the below photos.

The top red balloon below shows from where on the London Bridge Beach I snapped the above photos.

The bottom red balloon above shows the location of the red / white lighthouse.

The above lighthouse is not a replica of another lighthouse. It appears to be an actual ‘working’ lighthouse to support the boats coming into / out of the marina.

DINNER AT THE BLACK BEAR DINER

The Lake Havasu City Black Bear Diner is the third in the chain that we have enjoyed.

ASIAN CHICKEN CABBAGE SALAD.

CALIFORNIA BACON BEAR BENEDICT.

Patti and I split the salad and Michael enjoyed the Eggs Benedict.

BIG RIG MOTOR HOMES

Do any of you perhaps remember the below ‘Big Rig Motorhome’ up in Anchorage?

Well we two found another ‘Big Rig Motorhome’ here in Lake Havasu City.

“Oh Captain Our Captain! Whatever makes your putter flutter.”

The time has come for us to drive to Phoenix, Arizona. Patti will enjoy a ladies conference. We both have appointments at the Mayo Clinic. Patti will have a consultation about her spine. I will wrap-up (I hope I will wrap-them-up) some loose ends at the Mayo Clinic as regards my hip replacement, my male osteoporosis and lastly my left kidney issue. I also hope to discuss with Mayo doctors this bothersome vertigo that I am continuing to experience.

Patti and Cap

I keep telling / reminding Patti to keep looking at this hair of mine because one day it will be cut off.
