Yesterday, my webmaster Andrej and I had a nice, very lengthy, telephone visit. During our telephone conversation, Andrej stated that he was concerned about my health issues and that I had not put up a post here on dotnet in over a week.

So I promised Andrej that I would put up a short post..

And A Promise Made Is A Debt Unpaid.

Almost two full months ago, it was Saturday, March 24th, in Phoenix, Arizona, I was body-slammed with what at that time I considered to be food poisoning. In hindsight, and after speaking with Mayo Clinic staffers, I think I was hit with a version of the flu.

This past weekend, as I continue coming-off the 14-day regimen of taking CIPRO to combat a urinary tract infection that perhaps arose from flu, for the first time since March 24th, I actually felt pretty good.

Yesterday, I again really felt very good. And Patti has noticed my spirits have risen.

So, with some guarded reservations because this flu has continued to re-cycle back into my life several times, I am willing to (again, guardedly) say I think I am over this flu issue.

Do I feel 100%? I am willing to concede that perhaps, never again in this lifetime, am I going to feel 100% like I did back-in-the-day when I was 20-years or so younger, as in a mere age 60-years.

The clock of life continues to tick and I am feeling it.

Smiling however we will sign off for now.

Cap and Patti

    Hi Capito!
Let’s face it! You and I are the same age, and I too have noticed a lack of energy due to our age! I would say as a general comment, I still had a lot of “ziz, zap, pop and energy” up to that lovely age 75, give or take a year or two!! But have now slowed down! I am very happy just going and watching my hockey games with my season ticket for about 9 months of the year! Now we have the NFL Stanley Cup finals which will last into June; and then only about 3 months until hockey resumes!
I have my summer projects to keep me busy, yard work, etc and other miscellaneous tasks that fill my day until hockey looms in the Fall!
I also had a cold a few weeks ago that did bother me, actually for about 2 months, but I am back up to full steam ahead!
Just keep being busy – at a reasonable pace, build up your strength for your next trip to Hong Kong, maybe Russia and other foreign places!! But in any event, at our age we (two) have to slow down a bit!!

Thanks ‘Zilla’ for a great comment and for your interest following along here. You wrote : I also had a cold a few weeks ago that did bother me, actually for about 2 months. Like me and the recent ‘flu’ issue ‘Zilla’. We are watching the NHL Finals. We watched a lot of games in the prior series as well. Both of us think of the games we have seen with you there in Ontario, California. Smiles, Cap and Patti

Old Pard, Looks like you pulled through the hellish virus. I am relieved to hear it. Memorial Day weekend, I’ll put out the flag. Maybe visit a couple cemeteries with relatives. Alls well with us, just loafing. Big hug to Patti. out.

Thanks Greg for your comment. Loaf to your hearts content, you and Tsering. I am taking it easy and not jumping back into daily life to busy too soon. Smiles .. Cap and Patti
