MAR 22, 13 (3/3) .. NIGHT TIME FEMALE PROBLEMS IN ‘PONDI’ ..

Not one of you ..

NOT EVEN our buddy .. the question man .. the one .. the only .. ‘Zilla .. has asked me any ‘M’ questions!

“Are there Ms here in ‘Pondi’?”

“IF so .. are the Ms bothersome?”

To answer you .. and this is MY answer .. the man-on-the-street may give you a different answer!

“YES!  There are Ms in ‘Pondi’!”

“YES!  The Ms are bothersome!”

I must now qualify the above ..

YES!  The FEMALE Ms are bothersome. The FEMALES bite! The male Ms .. I don’t know what they do .. I guess they help the FEMALE Ms produce tens-of-thousands of Baby Ms!

Well forget the-man-on-the-street!

I mean HOT BREADS has gone Hi-Tech against the Ms ..

OK .. do you all know of what I am speaking?

M O S Q U I T O E S .. also known as Flying Insects ..

To all things .. I guess .. there is a good and a bad ..

A GOOD thing about M O S Q U I T O E S is that they sleep during the day!  So once the sun rises they disappear into your luggage and other ‘low’ hiding places.  So you can take afternoon naps free of them!

In India there are a lot of negative things about them.

They carry a wide range of serious diseases.  They are small to the point of being almost ‘tiny’ specs.  They bite fast and often .. bam bam thank you Sir! Because of their small size and the speed at which they move .. it is next-to-impossible to kill them.

I seem to be allergic to them because often .. oddly not always! .. but often they raise angry and sizable welts that bother me to the point-of-distraction! Luckily I have with me a prescription salve / cream that really acts well to give me relief when I awaken at night going ‘slightly crazy’ with bites.

OH YES THEY HAVE MOSQUITO REPELLANT IN INDIA ..

O D O M O S .. the Mosquitoes here seem to have ‘morphed’ themselves into loving ODOMOS!  I swear-to-goodness it attracts them!  So I have just stopped using it!

And NO!  DRAT IT!  Knowing of this problem for over twenty two years of traveling here in India .. I did NOT bring any of our DEET mosquito repellent!

Back to a GOOD THING.

The GOOD THING is this:  It is NOT Mosquito ‘season’ here at this time of year.  Actually this is ‘low season’ for them.  Truly (and I know this from my years traveling in India) there are not too many of them here.

A BAD THING is this: It is ‘sort-of-kind-of-warm’ here! So I sleep in-the-nude completely.  I get my body wet with drinking water and lie down under my overhead fan and try to get to sleep before they arrive!

I ‘crank up’ my overhead fan on High Speed. It used to be the Mosquitoes did not like WIND and would avoid it!  No longer! Again they seem to have ‘morphed’ themselves into ‘wind lovers’!

It-is-what-it-is!  I don’t even try to avoid them!  I just lie down and try to go-to-sleep and I am 95% successful.  When I awaken during the night .. IF the bites are not too bothersome .. I shrug them off and go back-to-sleep.  If they are bothersome .. I gently massage into the bad ones my salve / cream.

So there you have it.
