DEC 16, 18 .. (Part 2 of 2 Parts) .. THREE RHETORICAL QUESTIONS FOR EACH OF YOU

Once upon a time, it was in mid-April of 2013, Linda in Tallahassee, Florida, a friend of Gullible’s that Patti and myself have met-on-line, who goes by the nickname eArThworm,  said to me in a comment here on dot.net, “I can’t wait to see Ooty over there in India.”

I was in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India, and was about to travel to Ooty.

That haunting comment remains in my mind right up to today. Because of Linda’s comment, I feel that, in my travels, I truly am opening up a new world to many of you.

RHETORICAL QUESTION 1 : How many of you, in your wildest day dreams, would ever have imagined that you would become very familiar with names like Irkutsk, Kyzyl, (you’re soon going to become familiar with) Abakan, let alone have, at least some ‘talking knowledge’ about, Siberia / The Siberian Federal District  of The Russian Federation?

Just curious.

RHETORICAL QUESTION 2 : How many of you would have ever thought that maybe, just maybe, because of my Posts here, that you would come to at least recognize these words are from the cyrillic alphabet, be they Russian or Mongolian : ИРКУТСК .. КЫЗЫЛ .. ШАГОНАР ..

Just curious.

I myself am amazed at all of this. Amazed at each and every single moment of this adventure.

RHETORICAL QUESTION 3 : Are any of you going to look at a Post that I just published over on blogspot?

Thank YOU Linda for following along here for more than five years. I’ll never forget your saying, “I can’t wait to see what Ooty looks like.”

Someday, when I hit a slow period, I keep thinking that I will ‘bring back’ Posts from previous years that I myself find interesting. Or I could provide links so people who wanted to see the past could do so.

Would that be better than nothing at all for several or more weeks-on-end.

    Hi Cap,
Regarding your rhetorical questions, fortunately you are providing all the information and photos for questions 1, 2, and 3. I certainly would not be familiar with the Russian names you use. Your explanation for many of the words you use is very helpful. And of course I always check your blogspot. I take in all of your posts and comments! I am just amazed at your traveling to so many towns, villages, cities, etc during this trip to Russia/Siberia! Since I am engineer I pay a lot of attention to the photos of the roads and buildings, and naturally the I enjoy the landscape. I am really impressed as to the detail that you put into your writings!
