And the world turns. And the cycles of time and the cycles of life relentlessly move forward, ever forward.
And here we are, on the day of one of our most major holidays. And blink .. It will be past.

Jesus IS the reason for the Christmas season!
As you, who really follow along here, all know, I have been quite active on blogspot during November and December. Today I have published a major Christmas post on blogspot. As I’ve discussed on blogspot, The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas on January 7th, 2019. In fact there is absolutely no mention of Christmas or any other event on December 25th on the Russian Calendar of Annual Events.

So today was just-another-day here in Abakan, Russian Siberia.
Except Santa Claus brought me the one gift, and the only one gift that I wanted and that I wished for.

“What’s that dot.net?”
“You’re feeling sad about the fact you don’t think that you are going to get to show any special Christmas Day photos because I put all of them on blogspot?”
“Yes Dad. They’ve all been posted Dad. They’re none left for me.”
“That was true BUT, I was out this evening dot.net!”
“And I had my camera with me!”
“Oh Wow Dad!”
“Where was I?” .. “Got it!”

So today was just-another-day here in Abakan, Russian Siberia.

Denis our landlord advised Mike and I that ..
1. We do NOT have to move and ..
2. Our daily rent for the remaining 6 days of our stay will remain the same.
NOT having to move today enabled me to publish the long Christmas Day 2018 post on blogspot. Had we been moving today, I would not have been able to do any on-line work.
Further, Patti called Priceline and it looks very much like I will be able to void the no-cancellation clause I agreed to with regard to the other apartment we were going to move into.

Tonight Mike and I attended a meeting. It was a very good meeting with a most unusual turn. A Russian Orthodox Priest attended the meeting to get some information for himself about A.A.
After the meeting I learned that the priest was an associate and spiritual consultant of Alexander and that Alexander had invited him to the meeting (ostensibly to meet me?) I did not know this until after the meeting. So, not knowing this, during the meeting I had Mike read to the priest how Bill Wilson got sober by a direct act of Grace from (to use Bill Wilson’s words) The God of the Preachers. A most charismatic gentleman. He and I sat one person apart from one another (I was at the head of the table and he was on my left) and we made some kind of serious psychic connection*. Like he was there to meet me*. Or I was there to meet him*. He wants to make some personal connections with Orthodox members in the U.S. and asked me about helping him. This I certainly CAN DO.
*Something IS happening here. What it is ain’t exactly clear. What I call one of my God-Shots.

So I walked up the above stairway and looking down thought to myself, “Captain? What are you doing walking on this ice?”
Believe thee me! I ‘slowly’ eased my way down.
I plan to do some more daytime photos of these absolutely amazing ice sculptures.

YIKES on walking up the icy stairway! You got some very nice Christmas photos on your outing last night to put up here. Father George DOES look very charismatic. Merry Christmas to you, even if Siberia does not celebrate Dec. 25th. They certainly have a lot of decorations up for their holiday coming up on Jan. 7th. On to a meeting myself in minutes! In hindsight, walking up to cross the ice sculpture bridge was not (as in NOT) a good idea was it? One slip and the show comes crashing down with me on the bottom. It was -29°C which is -21°F (twenty one degrees below zero) and it was cold. My brain may’ve been partially frozen. Not that -21°F is ‘that’ cold BUT up in the interior (Manley Hot Springs) we DO take-notice at -20°F. I did however back down the ice sculpture bridge with Alexander behind me to support me.
Father George and I sure ‘clicked’ on some deep psychic scale. I could hardly take my eyes off him. He is NOT a member but his congregation brings to him many heartbreaking stories about familial drinking and the issues it causes so he came to check-us-out. It was nice of Alexander to ask him to visit the meeting on the next-to-last-night that I’ll be at this meeting. We are now in-touch. He may be the Orthodox Father Abello for me.
Soon I hope / soon I pray, you and I will be together in Seoul and then in Irkutsk. I’ve much to share with you.
