AUG 29, 19 .. VLADIVOSTOK
With the exception of Patti, I’m sure that very few of you are aware that here in Vladivostok we have been having a lot of rain. Streets are partially flooded and the skies have been dark and grey and (to put it mildly) on the ‘dreary’ side.
The bottom line is this :
Coupled with a very busy speaking schedule, along with the weather, I have not been doing much sight-seeing. Also, I am in what feels to me like a rather remote area in that I have no easy access to public transportation such as the buses and streetcars.
Even if I did (as I do in Irkutsk) with it raining who wants to be out on the buses and streetcars? I’ve gotten some photos during daylight drives to meetings but this week all the meetings have been in the evening with rush hour traffic and night approaching.
Yes we have had a few breaks from the rain but again, I simply do not have access to public transit and I am not willing to ask my host here to take me out sight-seeing when the weather lifts for a hour or so.
Below are a few interesting photos of Vladivostok that I have caught after meetings. These photos are thanks to a most gracious host who takes me to special viewpoints on his own without me asking him to do so.

Yes, I am fully aware that you have had a lot of rain in Vladivostok since you have been there. Oleysa has said to me on the phone that it has been a rainy summer. The city IS pretty in your night pictures though! Smiles and love, Patti
Yes indeed Vladivostok is an attractive city with many hills and views therefrom. Those four night photos resulted from at least 20, and maybe more, attempts. Now I hope to get some daytime photos from up on the hills overlooking the city. We’ll see if my host’s time allows for such an outing. Thanks for your assistance My Dear One. Love Cap
