AUG 31, 19 .. VLADIVOSTOK .. THE SUN CAME OUT TODAY
After a week of rain, today the sun made a dramatic appearance. My friends and I did a six (or so) hour tour of Vladivostok and I snapped three hundred and ninety three (393) photographs.
“Oh Captain! Surely you must be kidding us!”
“You took three hundred (300) and ninety (90) three (3) photographs?”
“They are individually numbered on my camera’s digital memory chip. It is a matter of simple subtraction. From the final photo of the day numbered 1031, I subtracted my first photo numbered 638, and there you have it. 393 photos.”
“Know what?”
“I myself could not believe this.”
We ended the day at a beach. I am going to post just a few beach photos I snapped.
“Dad! At my very best I am just a moderate, sort of very ordinary beach. Especially with some of the beaches you have seen Dad!”
“You are what you are Vladivostok Beach. And the children and the families who are out here are very happy with you!”

Hooray for the sun coming out today in Vladivostok so you could get out to get some sight-seeing pictures .. 393 pictures! The sun is shining here on a lovely Alaska evening, as we all hope for some predicted and MUCH needed rain to douse the surrounding fires and to dampen down our parched land here. Longest, driest, hottest summer ever for this area of Alaska. Smiles across the miles. Hugs!
Yes it is a mood enhancer when the sun comes out after a number of dark, grey days with really torrential rains and thunder and lightning along with it all. I was shocked when I did-the-math on the photos. Too bad the rain predicted for Anchorage did not materialize. Whew. Much Love .. Cap
