SEP 1, 19 .. VLADIVOSTOK, RUSSIAN SIBERIA

The time has come the Walrus said for me to leave Vladivostok this upcoming Tuesday the 3rd of September and return to Irkutsk and prepare to leave Russia after an amazing visit now spanning twelve months.

I arrived in Russian Siberia on October the 29th, 2018. Now that September has arrived, I can say that I have spent at least several days of each and of every single calendar month in Russia. I can also say that I spent the entire months of November, December, and January here in Russia. I left for part of February to meet Patti in Seoul, South Korea, and bring Patti back with me to Irkutsk. We two were here the entire months of March, April, May and June leaving in July to travel to Hong Kong where Patti returned to Alaska. The balance of July and all of August I’ve been back in Russia. So for eight complete calendar months I have been a full time visitor to Russia.

Last night I got a real ‘tug’ on my heart when I looked out at the small convenience store right in front of my building that is open day and night.

It has been comforting to me to have this sweet little shop at my beck-and-call should I need something

If you would like to see 28 of the 393 photos that I snapped yesterday here in Vladivostok please click onto the below link:

Even I, who was there for each and for every single one of the 393 photos, can’t quite believe yesterday’s photo shoot.

As I said as I signed off on the above blogspot Post..

I Am Still Standing..

I got choked up reading this post, thinking about all the priceless moments, days, weeks, months you have now spent in Siberia, and of the large chunk of those times I was able to be there with you. What an experience .. one of the best, if not the best EVER! Wonderful people, wonderful places. We really got to ‘settle in’ there. I feel so blessed to have shared it with you. What memories! Love and hugs, Patti

I don’t know what my expectations were last October 2018 for this trip. All I wanted to do was at least get to Irkutsk after the years of trying and falling short. I was headed there in November 2016 when I fell in Dubai. I had a paid-for train ticket and David in Ulaanbaatar coming with me to Irkutsk in August 2017 and ended up instead at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota! The topper was you joining me. Irkutsk / Yakutsk / Chita not to mention Seoul and Hong Kong. We both are truly blessed. Love .. Cap
