MOTHER LODE : noun .. a rich source of something.
Subtitle : Happiness sure is different things isn’t it !
My Mission here is to get organized. I am going to be here for a couple of months and living out of a suitcase is challenging.
I have been getting various used boxes ‘as-I-can-find-them’ and fixing them up so they are sturdy.
The first two photos below show a box being refurbished.
The above box is now in use (see below) as the one place that I put all of the many personal things that I take with me when I leave my apartment to go shopping etc. When I come home, back into Mister Box they all go.
Below are two more of my ‘orphan’ boxes.
The white one (on the bottom getting refurbished in the above photo) has become an ‘end table’ (see below) for me.
I brought with me a piece of plywood with a laminated formica top. I can use it on my lap and other soft surfaces to hold my lap top.
How is this for a new use for it !
When I put the above piece of plywood on top of the white box I have a very nice working place beside my bed.
I am again writing post cards and just look how nice the above arrangement suits me.
I can sit in bed, with my back supported by the pillows at the head-of-my-bed, to write YOU post cards.
This is so handy for me. I write post cards on the clip board you see in the lower right below.
Gullible will now see where I sleep. When Gullible saw the below (or another photo of my bed) Gullible asked me..
“Cap. Where do you sleep?”
Gullible also asked me..
“Will you ever run-out-of-projects.”
Not likely Gullible.
LAST NIGHT I HIT ‘THE MOTHER LODE’ OF BOXES.
Last night, when I was coming out of my neighborhood shopping market, look at what I found and, taking two trips to accomplish my mission, brought home with me.
They are clean and in perfect condition.
And they match so I can stack them neatly.
One of them is already in use below.
Happiness sure is different things !

Booga, booga – that was a bonanza all right, finding all those matching, new looking boxes. Great looking work table beside your bed. And, AND, it is good to see your bed cleared off! Happiness IS different things. I can tell you are happy with your things!! Smiling and sending hugs. Patti
Yes I am happy with my things and am working at settling in here. It feels great to now have a really nice, comfortable place to write post cards. I can lean back against the head of the bed, I’m beside the window for good day light, and plenty of room to spread my cards, stamps and writing pens out. I was really pleased to get like new, matching boxes and a lot of them as well. Now I can really get organized. Smiling .. Cap

Your box story reminds me of a post you wrote several years ago (maybe 6 or 7 years) whereby you were on the same mission and built yourself a series of boxes! Ha! I can see that experience paid off in your current construction in box fabricating! Now the question – testing your deep memory – can you remember the date and place whereby you did the boxing a few years ago – and can you dig out a photo or two – very interesting! Always fun to dig back a few years!!

Dept.of Coincidences – our AZ Conference was here in Laughlin NV @ Riverside Resort on Sept. 13th 14th 15th, the “theme” was “mining the rich Lode”. Just scrolling through your posts this afternoon. Ginny had a good ‘phone visit with Patti last night. All is good @ this end – I will check in on your posts once or twice a week Vaya con Dios Tom.
